Surgeon General sounds ALARM as Doctors & healthcare workers quitting jobs in droves

Yep. I bought my youngest daughter some for her to wear in her classroom. She has MS and therefore is a high risk immunocompromised person. When the mask mandates were lifted last school year in her state (Illinois) she asked the parents of her students to please continue to give them masks. They all did, bless their hearts. But she had the same problems you mentioned -- skin breakouts.
Decades before anyone ever heard the term N95, I was buying them at Home Depot for about $1 each in a box of 20.

Every time I put a fresh one on, it burned my eyes. Thankfully, I only had to wear them during sanding, or any other dusty/toxic work.

I couldn't imagine wearing one for 12 hours straight.

You don't read. You rush here just to troll.

Stop refusing to read. I've aleady pointed out the exact reason in my first post. How can you be so clueless?

Any sector that puts profits first has the same issue. They cut back on labor in order to increase ROI.

This is NOT a new concept.

The HC workers are quitting; they are NOT being laid off. Lib logic fail.

Why are they quitting?

Why do you refuse to read your own links?

You're the one who blamed the shortage on a for profit system, not me. You're the one who lied ...

No point, he just enjoys playing Chicken Little. lol

So we've been treated now to two-and-a-half years of Reichtards like the OP claiming that the deadly pandemic was overblown, no big deal, masks and social distancing are tyranny, the vaccines are poison, etc. Would YOU want to spend the rest of your career taking care of morons who can't even take simple steps to avoid the hospital? A lot of physicians and nurses are going into office work -- there is a huge job market for them in the managed care (health insurance) industry. I spent the last three years of my own nursing career in that field. Better pay, much better hours, better benefits, etc.

Those "low-wage essential health care workers" are typically CNAs, patient care techs, radiology techs, etc. Ditto for them. They work shit hours for shit pay, are exposed to COVID and other cooties, looked down on by pandemic-deniers. The job market for them in other industries is booming too. So why stay where you're not valued by the patients/employers?

That's obvious, he couldn't come up with a decent answer.

They grow them pretty ignorant in Alabama.

Like most here on the Right, he never even read the link he cited.

Then he asks questions that are all addressed in said link.

Because he's targeting other under educated fools who will comment without reading links.

We rain on his parade every time he posts.

Well said. Then they wonder why we call them trolls.

Yup, if you are in healthcare for the money, you should GET OUT!
Disagree. There's nothing wrong with going into nursing because it pays well.

It's the investors who get into the sector for the huge returns that are the problem.

And the reason so many are fleeing the industry.

Paying well is different than getting rich

OK.

Many youngsters aspire to be a dr. or lawyer because they will make a lot of money.

Or so they think.

People should be doctors because they love medicine or because they love helping people.

Being the only nation with a 'for profit' healthcare system, it's no surprise.

Nurse aids make the same as a Walmart greeter. Who would change diapers for that kind of money?

Staffing shortages are common with nurses. That often leads to the need for travelers, who were getting paid up to $200/hour during the Covid peak.

Burnout is a thing. I live with a classic case. Nurses were getting pizza and parades during Covid. Now the hospitals are trying to shut down units to hike profits.

Shows you how much money fauci made pushing a bogus vaccine.

The idiots who think "profit" idle the enemy. Morons.

better talk to the AMA as they control the number of doctors inbound by controlling the med school students.
which is to say, they are the reason there has been a doctor shortage for as long as I can remember.

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 23, 2022

There is a Projected Shortage of More than 3 Million Essential Low-Wage Health Workers in the Next Five Years and a Projected Shortage of Nearly 140,000 Physicians by 2033

Today, United States Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued a new Surgeon General’s Advisory highlighting the urgent need to address the health worker burnout crisis across the country. Health workers, including physicians, nurses, community and public health workers, nurse aides, among others, have long faced systemic challenges in the health care system even before the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to crisis levels of burnout. ..."

"Health experts are quitting the NIH and CDC in droves because they're embarrassed by 'bad science' - including vaccinating children under 5 to 'make their advice palatable to the White House,' doctors claim

The NIH and CDC are reportedly facing staffing shortages as low morale drives away employees

Decisions like the closure of schools and then requiring face masks once they reopened led to many questioning leadership

Lately, the authorization of COVID-19 vaccines for children four years old of younger has confused some in America's top medical agencies

Bari Weiss' 'Common Sense' Substack reports that data from both Pfizer and Moderna's clinical trials for jabs in under-5s show limited effectiveness "

Comical how the “big chiwawa” led with a Surgeon General report on potential medical staff shortages and then threw in an anti vaccine opinion piece from a heavily partisan UK tabloid as the implied reason, too funny

Thank you obamacare

This is about a lot more than that....this is about vax mandates for injections that are not actually vaccines and have been lied about constantly, this is about medical bureaucracies refusing to let doctors practice medicine....they have been ordered to follow cookbooks which kill people, this is about threatening the careers of anyone who disputes the bureaucrats, this is about four decades of outright refusal to fix the medical system, this is about the neo-marxist takeover of the medical system, this is about near constant short staffing with no interest in the dmanges this causes nor in fixing the problem, and so on and on.

All across this society we have abuse front line workers, and now we pay for that abuse.
