Supreme Court allows Virginia to purge suspected non-citizens from voter registration rolls

Take your afternoon nap, old man.

Then tell us about your admiration for Mao.

i suppose that was a good effort,

I'm not exactly sure of what that's the equivalent in people.”

Still biter about not matriculating, I see.
You can keep him

He says racist shit too

Suspects? That means it is likely that qualified voters are losing the right to vote. They lose their right to vote on suspicion.
They were given time to prove they were citizens and STILL can cast a provisional vote and TEN prove they are citizens and it will be counted. Want to cray some more?

:sadbaby:

The ones they are haggling over HAVE NOT PROVEN THEIR CITIZENSHIP STATUS feces breath.
Then they could be legal voters

But you will strip them if their rights to vote instead of giving them provisional ballots that will be counted when they prove their citizenship

Oh

Fine with me

Let’s just hope the republicans don’t use this as an excuse to claim unfairly someone isn’t a citizen

I believe the SCOTUS decided two other cases very recently that didn’t allow republicans to cheat

This decision is incredible. It really shows that with just a little mendacity and friends like Mitch McConnell you can BUY A SUPREME COURT! It's truly a new day in America.

Now, let's imagine that some state decided to withdraw approval for gun purchases from people based on a "hunch" they might not be legally allowed to own a gun.

How FAST do you think the MAGA crowd would burn the Supreme Court to the ground?

Some rights in America are more important than others. Voting isn't among them.

I'm sure there will be at least one person that will say that it happened to them (not saying they are telling the truth, mind you, considering these are the registrations where they literally check marked the box saying they are not citizens) and that the left will glom onto that one report and say the "election was stolen", unless, of course, the leftist candidate wins.

If those folks filled out a form in order to buy a gun and checked a box on the form saying "I'm not able to buy guns legally", then no. I would not be upset... If it was like the no fly list though, and just based on wishes... probably.

I won't be upset about folks that checked the box that said they are not citizens...

That's a plus for Democrats.

MAGA doesn't need anything - they don't need testimonies, or court cases, or evidence of any kind. If Trump loses - it was rigged.

So a bunch of citizens will show up to vote, only to find they were "suspected" of being non-citizens? Whatever happened to due process?
If you think this is a lack of due process wait IF Trump gets reelected this won't be anything, maybe 1/1000 of what is ahead.

Nonsense. These folks checked a box saying they were not citizens. This isn't just "suspected"... It's taking them at their own word.

There's at least one person who has been purged from the rolls who was a legal voter.

Also: it hardly bespeaks an honest concern if they are doing it literally less than a week before the election and the only thing the VA officials can say is "it's OK, we have same-day registration".

The reason I raised the Second Amendment is because the Right fights tooth and nail for every loon to be able to get a gun (hence their battle against red flag laws) so it's not like they actually CARE about rights.

Even the Republicans admit the majority of the suspects did not check the box, but I am sure you "feel" that the box should have been checked.

And most of those who did check the box did so to indicate that they were not citizens when the box was checked, but would be citizens on election day.

Not a good enough excuse. Again, this is exactly like checking a box that says you are not legally allowed to own a gun on a form requesting to buy one. When you get rejected, it is because of what you said. If how you filled out your own form was a mistake, then fill out a new form.

I see nothing wrong with removing folks from the roles that literally checked a box that said they are not citizens (or didn't check a box that they were required to check), if you aren't a citizen then register to vote when you become one and it is legal. Folks that do not check it also didn't fill out the form correctly, at the top of the form it tells you that if you fill it out wrong (required sections are marked and if missed you can be rejected) you can be rejected.
