this one is amazing historic boardwalk in Atlantic City, N.J

Not the same place in those two pictures. The Boardwalk that was destroyed was on the North side of town, along the Absecon Inlet. It was for most of its length structurally unsound and had been gradually closed block by block for the last 10+ years. The Boardwalk where the Casinos are is Oceanfront and was not significantly damaged.

There are plenty of dramatic, horrible pictures of destruction. This is Seaside Heights famous casino Pier. The rollercoater had been out there for nearly 100 years.


My kids grew up riding those rides. (and Funtown Pier also)

I just contacted a friend of ours that lives in New Hyde Park, New York and they escaped the majority of the storm.
Their neighbors had some roof damage; but I guess that was the worst.
Cell phone and land line just came back on today.
