The Dems still held up all the important stuff like SS Reform from the minority. Its only the crap that got through, like the pill bill and NCLB. Technically the were back in the majority when the bailout and the stimulous went through, but they were both Bush initiatives.

Also, one could attribute this attitude for both his widely viewed hatred and the current minority status of the party at large.

Bush was able to ram those through when the Ds held the Senate by getting D Senators to write them then scrambling to get enough Rs to ensure passing.

Yeah.... far be it from them to do something the voters reject, like Socialist Healthcare! It's much more important to society that we ram 2000 pages of liberal garbage down the throat of the public against their will! After all, it's not the people who matter, it's building the Utopian Society, right?

Let me tell you how it is, kenny... By my estimates, you have about 9 months of relevance left. You can do what you like with that time, but the clock is definitely ticking. To be perfectly honest, I really hope you spend that time in complete and utter denial, and continue to press for your liberal agenda. I hope your masters convince you that Massachusetts was a fluke, and you just need to change the way you explain your message. But mostly, I hope you commie liberals put pressure on Obama to try and cram more liberal garbage down America's throat against their will!

The democrats have one problem that doesn't exist on the other side of the aisle: they think too much. Much better to be a blind ideologue if you want to screw America and reward the rich and the corporations. Witness only the recent SCOTUS ruling. I have to say only Alan Grayson has the kahones to call it as it is.

But then I am giving too much credit to democrats while ignoring the real cause of change. Tell the voters it will cost them and you win. Doesn't matter what you believe, what you do, or what your past is regarding legislation. That is what Brown keyed on, and it is what elected republicans for the past thirty years. That the middle class voters get screwed doesn't matter, just tell them the other side will take their hard earned money and you win. What an odd predicament as our infrastructure collapses.

Where is FDR in this party of the wishy washy when you need his spirit and guts. Irony of irony, Bush who accomplished nothing good for the working class managed to get more money for the rich with a small majority. The bible is right.

I can remember in the past when liberal socialists crammed stuff down the voters throats against their will. It was called the constitution. You may have heard of it.

There's this thing called ratification, each state's legislature (made up of representatives) votes to ratify. That's what they did with this Constitution. It's rather unlike force.
 
The lesson should be on how your party should act while in the minority (i.e., as an actual opposition party) not while in the majority.
