There are abuse problems, as well. If a woman wants an abortion it means she doesn't want a child. Why would anyone want to bring a child into that situation? It doesn't make sense. Even the most loving of parents are pushed to their breaking point raising children. It's the most difficult task anyone can take on and nothing good can come from forcing someone to do so.

actually, I have good friends who fostered, then adopted a baby that was born with a heroin addiction....she is a nurse and has two children of her own now.....

Not according to some women - they get to choose when to bear a child and if they decide the timing is wrong for their unplanned pregnancy, they'll abort. That's the purpose of abortion. And it's entirely up to the mother, which means it doesn't matter how much you don't like it.
