Sunday Funnies!

If private sellers at gun show were required to have background checks run on every sale, the problem disappears. Are you against people who buy a gun having to pass a background check?

That already happens here in CO and six other states. Yet private sales still occur.

AGAIN, are any of those weapons you dismiss unable to fire multiple rounds in rapid sequence? What's the problem, won't they penetrate human skin?? You want us to believe that are not deadly weapons, and that they are merely lollipops and puppy dogs???

There were just two recent threads about background checks. NO ONE 'thinks there are currently no background checks on gun sales' The 9 out of 10 Americans who were behind the recent bill in Congress understand licensed dealers perform background checks, and that there is a hole in the law that allows people posing as a 'private seller' to move large quantities of weapons in the safe secure setting of a gun show.

If anyone is uneducated, it is people who have argued that there is no loophole. And the ones who believe the NRA represents law abiding gun owners. The NRA is a cancer on this nation, they represent gun manufacturers who could care less about public safety or keeping guns out of ANYONE'S hands.

Nothing can change what has happened, it is history, but there is no way of knowing how many of the other 80 gun deaths EACH DAY in America that could be prevented by common sense gun laws. And it is no reason to ignore no brainer legislation like expanded background checks, or for law abiding gun owners to keep supporting a lawless organization like the NRA.

One of the guns is a bolt action hunting rifle with a capacity of either 4 or 5 rounds (depending on caliber. So no, not all the guns are assault rifles. I don't dismiss a bolt action as a dangerous rifle, but apparently you do.

And if you are counting 80 each day, you are including almost 20,000 suicides. Those who committed suicide with a firearm were serious about wanting to die. They would have found a way to do it without a gun.

Moving the goal posts eh? Let's look at Sandy Hook then. About 100 rounds in five minutes right? Why, that's SLOWER then the average for the Mad Minute drill, and that drill includes a ton of reloads.

100 rounds in 5 mins? That is around 1 shot every 3 seconds? Hell, that could be done with a revolver or a bolt action rifle rather easily. I could do close to that with my Ruger No.1, and it is a single shot rifle.
