Show me a religion that doesn't promise everlasting life , and I will show you an unpopular religion that is fucking bankrupt.

Christianity is a straight up Quid Pro Quo promising everlasting life in exchange for a lifetime of obedience...Only now the obedience is optional, as long as the church dues are paid and the account is kept current... penance, it seems, has dollar value.

The choice of whether or not to adhere to a religion is optional. Upon choosing it, following the teachings isn't.

Despite what some have twisted the true teachings of Christianity to say, you still can't buy your way into heaven but it does appear that you're earning you way into hell. Enjoy.
