Suddenly Fauci wants an investigation into Covid origin

How about a non redundant commission to investigate the origin of the virus? This wouldn’t be ‘yet another’ investigation into the origin it.

Think about that: it’s over a year into a global pandemic that claimed millions of lives and they are *just now* getting serious about investigating how it started. And NOT an investigation led by virologists who may have a stake in the outcome of the investigation.

So yes, we take Fauci’s advice and investigate how the virus originated, finally. But Fauci sits on the side lines.

I want Fauci to tell me what changed. At first he was sure it was from bats now he wants an investigation. What changed?

Fauci is just a man, not a god. He changes his viewpoints with evidence. There is no shame in doing that. It’s an ability Dear Leader Dim Dung Don didn’t have.

Presumably, if a lab built the virus, then they might have the tools for a cure. It'd be silly to create a virus with no ready cure.

I have no problems with Fauci and I respect him. He took a ton of shit from a fucking moron for a year and maintained his cool the whole time. That's very good in my opinion.

Sometimes viruses is created then the cure is found? I don’t think it happens the other way, the cure, then the virus.
The problem is if there is a lab accident and people are infected. It should be protocol that if workers are infected they not be allowed to leave the lab, but how do you enforce that? These labs are truly frightening, but necessary, unfortunately.

Understood strict lab protocols would be required to avoid problems. Euros have been screaming about GMOs for decades now. Stephen King's best book, "The Stand" is based on a nasty bug escaping a lab.

GoF builds a more infectious virus ( the genome, but also the protein coat) -yes
But you have to wonder if the bug would have mutated without the lab. From all I know it could happen, but it takes time in the wild and isn't certain by far.

They are trying to get ahead of the curve, but wind up bending the curve
add in how difficult it is to work in a level 4 lab, so researchers get lax
