True, but a leak in a pipeline across land would be more contained and easier to clean up...IF the safguards shut down the pipeline quickly.

and I agree shipped by rail is also dangerous considering one tank car can hold 25 to 30 thousand gallons.....





I'm not a tree hugger but the safest way to transport oil is the best way....we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one....

That odds are there will be at least one leak?

How many aquifers do railway lines carrying oil traverse? Maybe you could ask Lithium Lil to look up Wikipedia for you?
