As I stated years ago, as technology advances, alternative energy sources will become cheaper and cheaper. Already it is cheaper then fossil fuels.

http://www.exposingthetruth.co/renewable-energy-cheaper/#axzz2m4BxDUUW

Some text concerning the link:

UNSUBSIDIZED renewable energy is now cheaper than electricity from coal and gas power stations in Australia as well. Wind farms in Australia can produce energy at AU$80/MWh. Meanwhile, coal plants are producing energy at AU$143/MWh and gas at AU$116/MWh. And the myth that alternative energy sources were enormously more costly than the typical fossil fuels, is proving to be untrue.

Also I have done some research and a quick fix would be Biobutanol. Since our gasoline infrastructure would not have to be overhauled.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biobutanol

Butanol may be used as a fuel in an internal combustion engine. Because its longer hydrocarbon chain causes it to be fairly non-polar, it is more similar to gasoline than it is to ethanol. Butanol has been demonstrated to work in vehicles designed for use with gasoline without modification. It has a four link hydrocarbon chain.[1] It can be produced from biomass (as "biobutanol")[2] as well as fossil fuels (as "petrobutanol"); but biobutanol and petrobutanol have the same chemical properties.

Now seeing as we produce so much waste in the developed countries? We can use that junk to make fuel. Our own Garbage waste can be used to make our own fuel. Think of how much we will save?

Not to mention you can make it out of Algae and seaweed. We have tons of seaweed!!!

Also thanks to the invention of Graphine, Solar panels will not even have to be connected to the grid.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphine

I think humanity is moving in the right direction. The problem is the CAPITALISTS have been buying all the Alternative energy companies.

But I like the idea of making our own fuel(just like making moonshine), from waste garbage.

My computer has been on the blitz for days and it takes me 1/2 hour to post one post sometimes, so I have to go, but I will be back to discuss this thread.

Has anyone looked into harnessing the hot air spewed by leftists? :rofl2:

See? This article dispels the huge mis-information campaign led by the fossil fuel(polluters) industry. About how alternative energies would be enormously more costly. The problem is that those fuckers(Oil barons) are starting to use big oil profits to buy out these new companies, which means they will probably make prices go up!! Ahhhh capitalism at it's worst.

I just cant see how they will manage to do that? Every house should have solar panels and windmills. We could live grid free. Can you imagine, no more utility bills?

Do yourself a favour and open your mind, not your sphincter, here is an article from Der Speigel about the German experience.

It just isn't economically viable.

Bottom line is that fossil fuel are the most cost effective means of providing energy to more people than any other method. Now, that isn't to say that I don't see the value of alternative means. For example, at my mountain retreat, I am completely off grid. I can provide for all of my electrical needs with solar and hydro, but it isn't cheap from a start up perspective. I don't do it because of saving money, I have other reasons for not wanting to be tied to the grid. Bottom line is what I have done is not feasible for a large majority of people.

It is about thermodynamics nothing else. Stop watching Bill Nye the Science Guy and pick up a book for crying out loud

Give me an electric with the power of the tesla for the price of a mustang I'm in.
Give me quick charging at millions of locations.
Mkay!

Yawn......This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. First of all? This article is irrelevant to my post. Simply because it speaks of nuclear energy which I support. Nuclear energy is actually environmentally friendly as compared to fossil fuel energy. Which is what we are trying to eliminate.

Also this article does not mention the invention of Graphine that would make solar panels, grid free.

Also the article I posted speaks of UNSUBSIDIZED wind power, not subsidized. Fossil Fuel companies are HEAVILY subsidized yet we pay through the nose? Why? The demand is high and there are(or were) no alternatives. Why? The capitalist oil companies have been suppressing alternative energy sources to maintain high oil profits.

The article also states that the problem is that the power being generated exceeds demand?lol First they say its not enough then they say it exceeds demand and that it would have a negative effect on the system? NOPE> It would have a negative effect on the capitalist market. Energy would be so cheap they wouldn't be able to profit from it.lol

Oh but thanks for making us oil guys look 1,000 times more powerful.

Actually. They say oil is the most profitable thing on the earth. Then it's war and then its drugs. I'd say war is the most profitable because you can steal oil like Americans do. Via their military.

Therefore yes. The oil barons(of which are mostly of GERMAN descent) are VERY wealthy and powerful. They are the biggest financers of both political parties.

And every super wealthy person is connected to oil or oil stocks.

You are mistaken. Yes it is expensive right now but still a good investment if you can afford it. Though it will only get cheaper. I remember when VCR's were $1000 when they first came out. Now you can get one(or a DVD) for less then $35.

Also according to the article? UNSUBSIDIZED wind power is cheaper then SUBSIDIZED fossil fuel energy. Which contradicts your claim.

Your premise is laughable and as I said you have ZERO knowledge about thermodynamics. Since I personally use solar and hydro, I am probably a bit more knowledgable about it than you are. The cost to outfit my year round home would be cost prohibitive. As I said, for my mountain retreat, I am willing to accept the added cost.

There is ZERO unsubsidized wind in the United States. Comparing government subsidized wind to the massive cost prohibitive regulations being placed on coal is a charade of monumental proportions and could only be put forth by a blooming idiot or a partisan hack with an alternative agenda.

In a true free market, fossil fuels would rule. For no other reason than the laws of thermodynamics. Now, you can allow your ignorance to drive your cost of living up, but it is sickening that you would force your polluted, failed ideology on others.

What is funny is that you eco terrorists don't even walk your own walk. Here a fossil fuel lover like me uses more alternative energy than you do. No go wrap your partisan hack brain around that one for a while

It is plainly obvious to me that you have the greatest difficulty comprehending what the article was saying. It, in essence, states that wind and solar power are erratic and not predictable. 75% of the electricity production in Germany is used by industry that requires an ultra stable supply with constant voltage and frequency. Now that they have set their face against nuclear due to the loony Greens they are turning to coal instead to provide a reliable baseload. Of course they should have just consulted you and not listened to their energy experts.

Don't you think if it was cheaper and more efficient, the capitalists would not only buy up the alternative energy companies, but maybe bring in a bunch of wage slaves to exploit? It makes no sense to buy up the technology and infrastructure that would bring them huge profits, and then just sit on it. This is reminiscent of the "100 mpg carburetor" back in the 1970's. You're a socialist in a western country(which could also mean you're young and still ignorant)so you might remember that fable. You might also want to consider that Obama invested OPM(Other People's Money)heavily in the solar industry. We are still waiting for news that one of those companies lasted for more than a year or so. The lesson here is, capitalists wouldn't touch this(according to you)great investment opportunity with a 10 foot pole. On the other hand, socialists(in the form of the Obama administration)invested in these turkeys like a 16 year old girl with daddy's credit card. And it was an abject failure like all things socialist. And here's a tip regarding your computer: Explore your God-given talents and abilities and discover how best to utilize them to feed, clothe and shelter yourself and your family, and if along the way you find that you are serving humanity at the same time, BONUS!! If you try to do this, you may find that one day, even being a wage slave member of the proletariat in the struggle against the running dog imperialist bourgeois capitalist pigs, that you can afford 3 computers, a top of the line smartphone, a big screen TV, a gas guzzling muscle car, a Harley and a bunch of other toys to occupy myself when I'm not wage-slaving!

Wasn't there a situation, a few years ago, where some wind generators had to be shut down; because they were interfering with the migratory path of birds?
