Stupid "yellow vest" protesters in France want lower gas prices & FASTER DRIVING!!!!

WTF?? Why are they destroying speed cameras? Slow driving means better mileage and saves money and reduces demand for gas which leads to lower prices!!! Don't these moron frogs understand that?

dec 7 2018 95 per cent of speed cameras in one area of France have been completely destroyed as part of the ‘yellow vest’ anti-government protest movement.

According to Le Point, almost all speed cameras in Puy-de-Dôme, a region in central France, have been taped over, broken or burned.

“In the Puy-de-Dôme, 21 of the 22 speed cameras are out of service at the moment,” states the report, adding that some were shot out while others were “covered with a symbolic yellow vest.”

In France, motorists are required by law to have two high visibility jackets in their vehicle at all times, highlighting the onerous control citizens are subject to by the state.

Repair of speed cameras usually costs around 500 euros, but if the whole system has to be replaced it can cost up to 80,000 euros. The cameras were destroyed despite the threat of vandals facing 5 years in prison and large fines.

I am not sure the yellow vest thing is that big an issue. I mean yellow plastic clothing can't cost but so much. This is really about gas prices/cost of living.

Of course, anybody who thinks that yellow vest is magic, is a fool. My cousin basically had every single bone in his body shattered when he was helping a stranded motorist while wearing a vest, with flares and cones out and there wasn't any other cars on the road at the time than the man who didn't change lanes and plowed into him at 70MPH.

You're absolutely right. People drive fast and crazy and are psychopaths and we need to do something about it. I certainly agree with you that lower speed limits and stiffer penalties will reduce highway homicide greatly.
