Study finds liberals exaggerate political differences more than conservatives

Oh, a study. Who can argue with that?

Awwww, I knew you'd have a tough time with this. A peer reviewed study that quantifies the differences in partisan exaggeration. Who would want to know that they're on the team that tells the biggest lies? It's instinctive to doubt it. I'm sorry to bring you the news. You should probably keep this in mind when you are reading the posts of your fellow liberals. Science tells us they are more likely to be exaggerating to make a point.

Is it even reasonable to believe liberals will accept this study? Can we call them deniers when they don't? LOL

A study shows? Random studies is why we have anti-vaxxers. Do your egos need a hug that badly? Poor little sheeple.

This isn't worth the trouble of producing studies that show the opposite. Just too weak a thread to bother with.

The Moral Stereotypes of Liberals and Conservatives: Exaggeration of Differences across the Political Spectrum

Liberals are bigger liars. Science proves it. LOL

Abstract
We investigated the moral stereotypes political liberals and conservatives have of themselves and each other. In reality, liberals endorse the individual-focused moral concerns of compassion and fairness more than conservatives do, and conservatives endorse the group-focused moral concerns of ingroup loyalty, respect for authorities and traditions, and physical/spiritual purity more than liberals do. 2,212 U.S. participants filled out the Moral Foundations Questionnaire with their own answers, or as a typical liberal or conservative would answer. Across the political spectrum, moral stereotypes about “typical” liberals and conservatives correctly reflected the direction of actual differences in foundation endorsement but exaggerated the magnitude of these differences. Contrary to common theories of stereotyping, the moral stereotypes were not simple underestimations of the political outgroup's morality. Both liberals and conservatives exaggerated the ideological extremity of moral concerns for the ingroup as well as the outgroup. Liberals were least accurate about both groups.

where did they say that?

the study doesn't say what he claims

its what people think of each other

I don't know how the study confirmed a subject was more moral that the other thinks they are

kinda flawed stuff

the poll place looks legit from the little I looked at its record

Another jumps in to make the point of the OP even stronger. One cannot make this up.

You just don't get it. You are doing exactly what you're trying to put on liberals, by touting something like this. Anyone doing so needs to grow up, and think.

Lady, I completely understand the OP. It is well written. You should actually read it.

What exactly do you find to be "bullshit" about this study? Be specific.

It's making the golden means fallacy.
The Right and the Left both have instances of immorality, but the Right has far more, as well as immorality as part of its foundations. So yes, both sides exaggerate the evil of the other side, but if you try to be centrist because you're oh so smart, and ignore the differences, it will seem like the Left is exaggerating more.
