Students storm library, shut down College Republicans meeting

If all you want to talk about is liberals, you should be talking to republicans .. again answering your own questions.

What's happening on college campuses isn't only the work of liberals as the article i posted last week showed.

Most posts here are done about the opposite party. So not sure why it's such an issue that I post about what's happening on college campuses, and that's far from all I post about.

I post about Bernanke, Yellen, the Fed and monetary policy. Very few people respond to those. You almost never do. People want to talk about partisan stuff, culture wars and everything the President does.

Most people are not as consumed about money as you are. I'm not and I have a business.

This is a political message board .. not sure why you're surprised that most here talk about politics.

After what conservatives did to diminish political discourse in this country during Obama's years, listening to republicans asking why we are so uncivil doesn't make a lot of sense ., but you don't care to participate in that discussion.

Thank you for finding me a reputable source.

Storming into other peoples legitimate meetings and disrupting them is not close to being appropriate.
Knowing UC Santa Cruz like I do, I am not entirely surprised Rightwingers are held in contempt.

That being said, as has been noted by others, it is indeed ironic that rightwing message boarders - particularly the OP - would be begging for polite civil discourse after what they supported during the Obama Years.

I believe it was Paul Begala who famously said "it's the economy stupid" regarding winning (Presidential) elections. The economically unsophisticated may give all credit/blame to the President but those who know better understand the role the Fed plays in the economy. So that is political and it plays a major role in our elections.

And you are right, my interest is not high in getting into a pissing match over which side treated the past Presidents worse.

I love it. Libtards yelling fascist while they storm in and shut other people's freedoms down.

What a bunch of whackjobs. This is what unfettered leftism gets you.

Begala was wrong. Elections are not just about the economy, including the last one.

You can indeed exempt yourself from critical political conversations in these critical times if you choose.

You need to go stand in the mirror and ask yourself where was all your concern about civility when Obama was president.

Personally, I don't give a rats ass about republicans not being able to do a goddamn thing. Why in the fuck would I given what the Republican Party is?

Because if they can do it to one party, group, people, they can do it to you. Then we don't have a country anymore with proper discourse.

Just a bunch of monkey's running around yelling at each other. Then again, Anarchy is a goal of many on the left.

Uncle BAC is mad that people were mean to his savior Obama. Because Obama was black. So he feels any violence towards others and white people is justified.

Makes sense right?

That from a supporter of the party of hate. Absolutely hilarious.

I'm guessing you are a birther.

Fwiw there was a thread started about this a couple of days ago but it's worth discussing again. This type of behavior is becoming more and more common across college campuses.

So let me get this straight, they burst into a meeting of young Republicans, where they don't belong to call them racists and fascists?

Now they're demanding that the college provide them with a safe place because young Republicans holding meetings is a form of violence?

The last election was very much about the economy. How else would a 70 year old socialist get as much traction as he did? His entire meaaage was economic inequality. Same for Trump. He spoke about bad trade deals, manufacturing etc.

The reality people at the top did well in the recovery but not so the people down below. So it's not all that surprising so many people in both parties turned to "non establishment types". (I'm not a big fan of the phrase but I'll use it here.)

I've been on AOL, JPP boards for 17 years. I've seen the same people year after year have the exact same conversation, "Republicans suck, no Democrats suck, no Republicans suck, no Democrats suck..."

I don't feel like I'm missing out on all that much by not joining every thread like that.

And at the end of the day people on this board are willing to die for their political party and the political parties don't give two shits about us

Too much blind ignorance.

You support THE most divisive and rejected president in American history .. and yet have the nerve to talk about divisiveness.

Totally ignorant and hilarious.

Who said I am a Trump supporter? Again you make faulty assumptions. Per the usual.

What party is that? Who said I support either party? Again with faulty assumptions. The new tool of the left.

Then you throw something about birther in.

You should quit this. You really aren't a good debater.
