The Supreme Court’s rejection on Friday of President Biden’s student debt relief plan instantly unravels one of the president’s signature efforts and ratchets up the pressure on him to find a new way to make good on a promise to a key constituency as the 2024 presidential campaign gets underway.

About fucking time. It was stupid idea. Great campaign promise until it came time to pay up....straight onto the backs of American taxpayers.

Better to find a way to make education more accessible and cheaper. Online is one way. Better funding of libraries for computers to allow those who don't have computers and/or WiFi to have access to an education. Testing could be done at centers for a small fee.

Yep they need to start regulating colleges from price gouging, not just cover the debt which doesn’t fix the problem

Part of the problem was, like the mortgage crisis, the bleeding hearts who pushed low-interest loans. Colleges realized they could crank up the costs because the government backed the low-interest loans would pay. Banks make money, colleges make money, kids graduate with more debt than I paid for my house.

Brick-and-mortar colleges saw the money online colleges were making and got greedy. If you will spend 12 K a year taking online schooling, think what a real college is worth.
Many countries supply free schooling all the way through college. They see it as elevating the entire nation. An educated population will accomplish more.

Communism doesn't work, dude.

Being indoctrinated in BS is not education, dude.

The Democratic Party propensity for throwing dollars at problems instead of sense is alive and well.

Helping make college cheaper and just as efficient is a good thing. Our nation benefits from an educated, well trained and gainfully employed voting populace.

And you support 'em.

Indoctrination is not education. Communism produces poor education.

You still don't get it, Dutch/Sybil. Communism doesn't work.
