Student Loans Decision Unravels One of Biden’s Signature Efforts

There is one thing that is static, and that is- if you sign for it- you own it!

And that goes for loans- of any kind.

And right is right and from wrong is wrong! That is static! That never changes.

Now, given, Congress does decide what is right and what is wrong! And yes that is debatable, that is why we have elections. And that is why they are so very important!

And if you borrow money, you should repay it. THAT WILL ALWAYS BE THE RIGHT THING TO DO!

There are thousands of circular arguments that can be made about who, when, where, if, and, or BUT!

But we must always stick to a standard of what is right and what is wrong.

If it is right for any single one of us to not have to repay their debt- then it is not right for any of us, as a whole, to have to repay their debt.

If this guy doesn't have to repay his debt, why should anyone else have to repay theirs?

Stealing food is wrong- It does not matter whether you are hungry or not!

We have to be consistent with our law!

Ya we won't agree as there are always exceptions.

When the 2008/9 Mortgage crisis happened, and the Banks were about to fail, I would have no issue with the gov't instead of giving the gift of Trillions of dollars of free money to prop up Wall Street banks, instead giving every deeded Homeowner a $50K mortgage credit, which they would have had to deposit into their local bank to pay down their mortgage.

That would have let the too big to fail (Wall Street) banks fail and strengthened the mid sized and community banks BUT ALSO helped get most homeowners back to a point of equity and thus helped the economy in a secondary way by allowing for them to spend. Instead we got big Wall Street banks getting bigger, and homeowners losing their homes, and property values for those who could keep them plummeting.


I HATE your type of NOPE, others paid their mortgage so no one gets help type view and find it myopic. We did not help the last guy drowning so no one drowning gets any help. Fair is fair.

Sorry. Never going to agree with that. Incidents need to be considered on their SPECIFIC merits and not based on what others got or not, leading to us saying 'that last decision was horribly wrong but now everyone must live with it'.
