Learn to read....I said YOU ARE a propagandist (a poor one at that), NOT a "victim". You can't revise the conversation in a printed medium, genius....makes you look stupid.

I note that you don't DARE address the point I made in the previous post (of which I highlighted for the readers), which logically puts you in bind....you seem to apply your assertion ONLY when it suits your narrative. You can't say, "this law is eternal....except for today". That makes you a hypocrit.

There are about 900 general officers in todays military. There are more than ten times as many retired general officers. So there are about 10,000 people at the same level as McInerney(he was "retired" over a quarter of a century ago). If 1% of that 10,000 are completely crazy, that would be about 100. I see less than 10 as crazy as McInerney, so that is 0.1%, a very low number.

McInerney is advocating for the suspension of the Constitution by the US military. This is pretty far out there, which has led to him being blocked from all active duty generals, and most retired generals. Most generals take their oath to defend the Constitution very seriously.

In short, I am not worried about a military coup. This last coup attempt shows how weak the Alt Right really is. They did far more damage than they should have been allowed, but were easy shoed away by 500 Maryland National Guardsmen. Yes, only 500. I have the utmost respect for the National Guard, but think of how much better the active forces is.

And remember that trump pardoned Gallagher who threatened to murder the family members of the special forces... I reassure you that the special forces have not forgotten.

McInerney was only a Lieutenant General. He never got his fourth star. Powell was a full general, and is disgusted by the attempted coup.

The USA is the only industrialized nation to have food banks due to a pandemic and that is the failure of our so called representatives on both sides, so when this guy talks about the groups that are desperate there is much blame to go around. The corporate owned media has not been a very good arbiter of the truth either.

The USA went from being #1 in upward mobility to #32 in the industrialized world due to failed policy that favors the top percent because lobbyists are writing the policy. For example...the vast majority of Americans are BIPARTISANLY in favor of Med4All but the people we send to DC to supposedly represent us are refusing to even take a vote on the issue because they are in the pockets of the health insurance industrial complex. WTF? So money in politics, a half a century of failed trickle down voodoo bull-sh*t and Bill Clinton's destruction of the independent media with the signing of the "1996 Telecommunications Act" was a recipe for disaster. These horrible policies can be undone, but sadly, Biden is no FDR so the people have to push for these things. Also, Facebook and all of those platforms need to be broken up and controlled like public utilities.

The right wing had no problem acquitting this type of behavior last time. Why should anyone take them as seriously as the "gospel Truth" for something as serious as the general welfare of our Republic?
