Libertarians support individual rights over that of the State, the kid's rights are the ones that matter to Libertarians. The idea that a group of people who never held power in that State are responsible for the laws of that State is laughable.

This is like many threads. You claim libertarians would do something that they wouldn't. I point out that they haven't done anything of the sort, and according to their philosophy the kid's rights are paramount, not those of the State, and that per the Constitution the Feds would have the same power they have here, to step in if they feel the kid's rights were violated.

You then tell me that the laws "seem" libertarian to you, and end with "so there"...

I can't help what "seems" to you, but I can tell you about Libertarian philosophy.

This mostly libertarian conservative had only one reaction to this story: Why isn't this Zimmerman guy in jail right now?

Had Zimmerman been a cop, my reaction would have been the same.
