Grind wants them so badly, but with no power, he's denied
More than 110,000 electric customers lost power today as Massachusetts was lashed by wind from Hurricane Sandy, the “superstorm” poised to make landfall late this afternoon, powerful enough to wreak trouble hundreds of miles away.
Sandy may be the biggest hurricane ever to hit New England.
Reports indicate that its destructive path could be as much as 1,000 miles wide. It’s also bringing the lowest pressure (an indicator of the storm’s power) ever recorded in the area from Cape Hatteras to Boston.
Sandy has a lower central pressure than the Hurricane of 1938, the most devastating hurricane ever to hit New England until now.
