[h=1]This means "Former" Felons for all you Dumb-Fucks who can't comprehend what "EX" means [/h]Floridians with felony convictions are now able to register to vote with a new constitutional amendment taking effect.

About 64 percent of voters supported Amendment 4, which automatically restores voting rights to most people who have felonies on their record.

South Florida election supervisors are gearing up to implement the law, which takes effect today.

The change is the culmination of work by religious, social justice and civil liberties groups who pushed for Florida to join most other states in giving offenders a second chance.

I hope they also can go exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. You support them exercising their 2nd Amendment rights without any restrictions as well right?

Because I support them being able to vote. They paid their debt to society and should be allowed to vote. They should also be allowed to own a gun. What say you?

Republicans fought this as long as they could. I am glad they lost.

When a person has fulfilled their debt to society, they need to be able to turn their lives around.

There is no basis for not reinstating a person's Constitutional right to vote.

this has nothing to do with the 2d Amendment dumbass

btw does the Constitution bar them from voting?

Rights are rights, right?

BTW, the Constitution was pretty silent on the right to vote. Just sayin.

But, it was very clear on the right to own a gun.

Now the question at hand is whether you believe that once a an ex felon pays his dues, he should have ALL rights restored without question. I believe they should. You seem to want to pick and choose. Why is that?

Thanks Bourbon.

(And for those who don't know)...

The MOTHERFUCKER, let me repeat that--the MOTHERFUCKER, Rick Scott, FLA Governor, US SENATOR as of last week, whose company RIPPED OFF billions of dollars in Medicare, Medicaid, and VA monies, who was allowed to 'resign' whose company was fined the largest fine in US history (to that point), who walked away with $150,000,000 in stock from the same company, who came to Florida and parlayed that into a governorship and now a US SENATE SEAT ...

Stripped away "FELONS" VOTING RIGHTS FOR LIFE

(HE'S A REPUBLICAN)

By the way, we FLORIDIANS want to note, there are very specific 'carveouts' to the restoration which should be noted before the BOARDWARRIORS jump...

Under Amendment 4, felons not convicted of sex offenses or murder would automatically have theirvoting rights restored after completing their sentences or going on probation.

It is Florida, wouldn’t be surprised to hear a candidate say “i’m really looking for that felon vote to push me over the edge to victory” in a race.

Yep, my office neighbor who was a REPUBLICAN OPERATIVE and a felon, somehow got his rights restored? And he helped get HIS CANDIDATE "pushed over the edge to victory"!
