Stanford judge booted from new sex case

Too bad that 1.2 million signature recall petition can't be used against him.

"A California judge who has faced withering criticism for giving a lenient sentence to former Stanford University swimmer Brock Turner in a sex assault case has been removed from another sex case.Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen blocked the transfer of the new sexual assault case to Judge Aaron Persky, who is the subject of a recall petition, several media outlets reported Tuesday.

Persky was briefly transferred a case to decide whether a former San Jose nurse should stand trial on charges he sexually assaulted a patient while she was sedated.

The move comes days after several potential jurors told the judge they couldn’t serve on a jury in his courtroom because of the Turner sentence. Persky was bumped from the new sexual assault case a day after he tossed out an unrelated misdemeanor theft trial before it went to a jury, ruling prosecutors hadn't proved their case.

This thread isn't about cops, Threeper Desh. It's about a specific case, and cops didn't rape anybody this time. Your Desaphiliac obsession with cops is getting worse, I fear.

Feel free to start your own thread, though, and maybe I'll take a look. You could call it "Weekly Injustice Report". That's catchy.
 
so the thread topic must never allow posts including cops, even though the other circumstances are the same? then advise christie to start blocking me, and you can feel free to do the same with yours.

I realise that you want to provoke me so as to ingratiate yourself with your erstwhile squeeze, but sorry to disappoint you. However I have never been a fan of trial by media, but I don't suppose that bothers you in the slightest.
