And then there's the Sabbath. Slow walking down what otherwise would be a busy street.

That's a little different because they are required to keep to certain rules on their Sabbath. If they are very strict, they can't even press the elevator buttons on the Sabbath. They actually hire someone for that job.

Many people that are close to me are jewish and I love them dearly, but as a group, the Orthodox Jews are not the friendliest and won't ever say thank you.

Whenever we go into Borough Park, we have to brace ourselves. They don't signal, they double park on the most crowded streets, and they'll open their car doors without looking. Forget about any driver letting you get into his/her lane.

I think Utah's more along the lines of 2/3 Mormon. Of course, most Mormons are packed into the rural areas, and the population probably does rise to 90% Mormon there. In Salt Lake City they're a 40% or so plurality, not a total majority like in most other parts of the state, and that throws the statistics off.

Wikipedia.

Perhaps north salt lake and sugarhouse, but Provo is definately 90% mormon as is herriman, polygamy bluffdale, lehi, pleasant grove....draper may be less mormon

They could walk on the sidewalk instead of the middle of the road. Especially when speeding up is against the religion...

Mormons are rude drivers, perhaps it will even out the population for non mormons here.:)

Mormons are rude? Having been through Utah and encountered several Mormons who went out of state on their missionary service, I would honestly without exxageration say they are over-friendly if anything.

Yes. There's these pesky little things called the Wasatch Mountains. Ever see the movie Jeremiah Johnson?

Hey, i did say i wasn't an expert and unfortunately i haven't seen the film.

Then again if someone is that careless a driver that they accidentally drive into a mountain then perhaps they should consider trading in their car for a bus pass.

They can be, Living amonsgt them is different then a visiting teacher or passing through the state. But then I am not that accepting of people trying to push there agenda on me when deep down inside I dont agree with the fundamentals. So perhaps it is just me.

Driving into a mountain probably isn't a good thing. Driving off a mountain is much, much worse.

Watch Jeremiah Johnson. It's one of Robert Redford's greatest roles. The scenery of the Wasatch mountains of Utah are breath taking. You'll also get a kick out of Will Greer's (Griz) character.

Mormons are some of the nicest people i've met actually.

must only be me then but I have a hard time with them, but regardless they aren't very good drivers and even mormons at my work laugh about that.:)

Sometimes. One time I was hanging with some friends at a Mormon church and they barely spoke with anybody who wasn't from their specific church. It was actually rather uncomfortable.

Most people only see those on a "mission". Mormons are people like everybody else.
