It was well produced for television, but clearly not a lot of interest from Americans and not the show TACO wanted to beat what the French put together.

It was odd. I don't know how long the route was, but they could have walked until within a block of the review stand then marched until a block past it.

Donald Trump threw a military parade in honor of the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary on Saturday, June 14 (a date that happens to be the president’s birthday) to the tune of $25 to $45 million. 50 Thirteen founder Doug Landry shared a series of tweets that documented many issues with the parade Saturday. Landry described the event as “legitimately the worst executed mass attendance event I’ve ever seen” before sharing photos of a sparsely populated Washington Mall, the single checkpoint to which approximately 15,000 people were sent, maps that failed to offer clear direction, dozens of empty checkpoints, and empty VIP bleachers.

“Donald Trump does NOT want you to share this footage of his pathetically tiny birthday parade crowd,” he captioned a video of attendees.

Trump shared a portion of his speech from the event on Truth Social, as well as an uncharacteristically brief summation of the day: “What a GREAT Parade. THANK YOU, ARMY!”

The parade prompted thousands of “No Kings” rallies and protests held on the same day across the United States.

Tough weekend for Donnie, he thought his birthday parade was going to be top story and he got second staged by Israel, political shootings in Minnesota, five million protesters in hundreds of US cities, and his big celebration was a dud

Personally I think these things are better in person than on television, but Americans like cooler things like Air shows as opposed to marching. Air shows are cool. It isn't like they can get a bunch of ships to come in for the Navy's birthday (October 13th) so an Air show would be nice.

I didn't watch it. When I was in the Navy we were "voluntold" to march in parades at least once each year, we also were "voluntold" to do pushups at football games I couldn't have cared less about because the Broncos weren't playing.

Anyone who has ever marched in or even watched a parade on Veterans Day knows military parades get repetitious really quick, not the big draw normal parades possess
 
What you saw clearly in that parade was the result of Biden's disastrous policies on the military. Trans, no discipline, worrying more about their feelings and gender identity than actual combat training. Thanks again Democrats!

So strict cadence in a parade is the measurement of an Army’s readiness? Or are you upset because you saw women and Black soldiers amongst the ranks?

It's the latter. Not only has Sailor claimed to have served for 26 years as a Vietnam vet, but he's an avowed racist who hates anyone who doesn't agree with him.

As for the troops, I doubt four years of Biden could completely fuck up our military. Especially since anyone over the rank of E-4 would have enlisted prior to Biden.

Every cadet at Trump's West Point graduation commencement was admitted before Biden was president.
