South Florida Jury?

New reporting suggests that Trump will be indicted in the Southern District of Florida, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami....

Venue would be the big reason. It looks like the crimes were mostly committed in The Southern District of Florida, and so instead of having the legal fight in D.C. that would come from filing in D.C. over venue, they are working with a South Florida Grand Jury.

This is the Justice Department choosing to follow the law instead of trying to get away with a better Judge set and a better jury pool for their case.

They could indict him in D.C. and there would be a legal fight over venue, they might win because parts of the law are very vague and open to interpretation. If they lost they would have to re-indict him in South Florida. In D.C. the Jury pool would be very pro-prosecution.

If they indict him in South Florida Trump gets a more friendly judge pool, including the judge who already ruled in Trumps favor early in this investigation. (She was quickly and overturned by a unanimous judicial panel.) The jury pool will also come from a district that supported Trump (Miami). If Trump is convicted in the Southern District of Florida there will be less of an argument from Trumppers about a liberal jury.

The thing is he needs to be convicted of an actual crime. That's what maggots like you can't seem to figure out. We know you like the civil finding against him even though there was no evidence to actually convict him of doing what the finding claimed. Why don't idiots just wait until he's convicted of an actual crime then you can all dance around in your tutus

1) There was evidence for the civil finding of Guilt in the Sexual Abuse case. To say there was no evidence is ignorant. You might not have liked the evidence, you may not have believed the evidence, but there was evidence.

2) You do not wait for a conviction when you dance in your tutu about Hunter Biden. You are a Hypocrite!

3) I can celebrate the indictment of someone I believe is a dangerous criminal if I want.

I'm not a lawyer...but as I understand this situation, if they lost the legal fight over venue, the case would be dismissed "with prejudice"...and they would not be able to reindict Trump on the same charges anywhere else.

Perhaps there is a lawyer here who can comment on this...but my understanding of what I have been reading is that the prosecutors have to be very, very careful of the venue question...and may not want to take a chance on this.

You're right there was "evidence" it just didn't point to any actual crime but yes there was evidence. At a bank robbery trial the evidence is the defendant ate an egg salad sandwich that day. There's the "evidence".

Well we were told it was Russian misinformation until a year later you cowardly fucks said yes it's a real thing. 25% of people would have voted differently had they not been lied to

Yes you can buy you look like to be idiot you are because no crime has actually been pinned on him.

I've never seen people so controlled by hate as leftists. You people would make Hitler blush.

The law is somewhat vague as to if it is dismissed with prejudice or not, in fact it is likely it would not even be dismissed but transferred. It depends on why the judge believes they chose the wrong venue. Its not double jeopardy so there is no constitutional reason a judge must dismiss with prejudice. I have never heard of one being dismissed with prejudice, but I guess it is possible. Judges always preferer cases be decided on the evidence instead of legal technicalities.
