Sorry Trumptards, we aren't in a recession

So what? You claim the wheels are coming off, because you have NO CLUE about economics. You should stay in your lane, and talk about stolen elections and scary brown people.

Yep, only in assclown land are record high gas prices, illegal immigration and inflation awesome. We get it. You see that the DNC wheels have fallen off and a massive red tsunami is sweeping Democrats away, so you are forced to lie, flail and cry. ;)

Fossil fuels are finite. We will have to transition someday regardless - and probably in the next few decades.

The time to start that process is now - changing our infrastructure, and accelerating development of wind, solar & the rest. This isn't a partisan issue.

Of course it is. You guys make this impossible. The Hoover Dam took all of 5 years to complete. Just getting the EIA done for the Hoover Dam will take more than that these days not to mention all the lawsuits it will have to face.

The regulatory environment you have made has made it impossible to transition to anything.

Interest rates aren't historically high, or even close to it. Hell, in 1996 a 30 year fixed was eight percent and no one batted an eye. Consumer spending HAD to slow, it was and is causing inflation, which is almost certainly coming down. And despite all that, we are not seeing ANY job losses, and we are seeing wage gains. So what seems to be happening is that we are returning to a more 'normal' economic cycle without the wild swings of the past couple of years. We are certainly not facing anything like 2008. To the contrary, we are seeing job gains. We are reducing yearly deficits by a huge amount. A mild recession doesn't mean that fundamentals are not strong. Recessions are inevitable. The idea is to mitigate the peaks and valleys, and it appears to me that's exactly what we are doing.

In actuality, the four things you cited are not separate, they are basically the same thing. Higher interest rates.

Interest rates are AWESOME, if you're a lying, low IQ leftist with a compunction of looking like a dumbass. ;)

Ironic. Enough said. You seriously need to to gain a much better understanding of economics before you come here and start your idiotic threads.

I am amused that someone who thinks the current environment is awesome knows anything about economics. That's priceless!

My stocks have gone up in value the past 2 days.

They aren't back to where they were when Biden was inaugurated dumbass. :palm:

I'm feeling pretty good so far.

Only because you're a clueless dumbass. :palm:

Voters are going to see that happening as well. Sorry, to rain on your death-wishes.

Voters are going to massively reject what the Democratic Party of Lying Jackasess stand for and have done the last year and seven months. The red tsunami is coming. I hope you triggered leftist loons have stocked up on your meds.

Thank you for reminding us that not only is Biden doing reasonably well, but he is doing well in a time that everyone else is doing poorly.

I often wonder who the 36% of morons who think Biden is awesome were. Now we know. They're clueless leftist dipshits like you lacking any connection to reality or facts. November is going to be harsh on idiots like you. :palm:

The market is typically in inverse proportion to the well-being of the average consumer.

In the midst of all the screeching, I'm earning much better money on my idle cash now, and it will only get better next month. Which is nice for people who are tired of being forced into the market when interest rates are zero.

Bonds are suddenly a viable option again.

This ^ is your brain on moron and liar. Don't be one. :palm:

You do realize that the trump era multi billion dollar giveaway to the Market came to an end recently?

Are you in favor of the taxpayer propping up your 401k?

Low wages push the market up further. Which do you want?

Please come down off of the fence.

There was no Trump era multi-billion-dollar giveaway. You're an idiot and a liar. :palm:

They're whipping that horse hoping it will get them over the Nov. 8 finish line and to a majority in both chambers.

Republicans = 53 seats in the Senate. 68 majority in the House. You're a dipshit still parroting the moronic party line. :palm:

Inflation is about the only negative indicator affecting almost all of us. That, too, will ease once the supply and demand situation evens out.

Wrong; but then you are a moron that parrots the lame DNC party line. :palm:

The reality is we should have been in a recession that was undeniable to everyone but we are pushing it off by draining the SPR. Im not against using the SPR but we are at the stage where we have less than 400 m barells left and if we continue using them at the rate we have it will be about 4-5 months before we hear statements from the US military itself warning us we wont be able to use any more without compromising national security and even if we ignore that we are about a year out from draining the entire thing.

The SPR was NEVER intended to be used as a political tool for an idiot President who has done exactly what he said he would do to oil and now sees a red tsunami coming as the result of the inflationary increases it has resulted in.

This would have been ok if we had used this time to boost energy production. Instead we have a situation where we are facing another energy crisis as we have less than 25 days of Diesel fuel left in the country and have begun diverting ships bound for Europe to the US.

Wow; tsuke is paying attention. So, what do you think is coming WHEN this diesel shortage hits? ;)

It's almost like accelerating the development of domestic alternatives and getting away from foreign oil might be a good idea.

alternatives are not ready, or even feasible on a large scale anytime soon.

stopping energy without a replacement in place is mass murder.

it's almost like we should maximize domestic production instead of letting envirofreak murderers murder millions.

:truestory:

Its fine to use. Real President Trump left it at 100%. We didnt really need 100%.

The problem is fake president biden used it like a black family with a new credit card. He just wasted it without using that time for anything.

It depends on how we miitgate the diesiel crisis but walking dead may not be fiction soon lol.
