Well if E is a troll, no surprise since he just keeps harping on his one point, which was conceded from the start. Beck's ratings have fallen, but whether or not that is the reason he's leaving? I said while unknown, his ratings are still at the point of nearly all his competitors combined. So, yes they've fallen, yet still higher than whoever will likely replace him, unless Rush wants to try TV again. ;)

I think his audience lead in for the news would probably overcome the loss of boycott cancellations, but again, unknown. As Business Insider and yourself said, he seems to be following an Oprah model of empire building. We'll see, as it's not working out so great now for her.

I think his ambitions are truly motivated by what he believes- Leaving with high ratings seems smart if the rumors are true that he left due to advertisers pressure on the network. Ms. O's model is ambitious and I wish her well, but I don't think Beck has her kind of capital and he'd be foolish imo to attempt it. I was under the impression he was going to collaborate in writing/creating shows, both for FOX and for himself?
 
I dunno ID, I'm not terribly interested in him, so the one article was the extent of my reading on it.
