Well the CEOs of the oil companies said if they can't make a profit drilling more wells they aren't going to do it, well with the price of oil going up as it is maybe they WILL drill more now.

Thanks. The corporation that owns our local NBC affiliate, Gray Television, got into a lover's spat with Dish, our satellite provider. Dish cut all NBC and Fox feed. So we've been streaming coverage and programs through YT TV, which is working out great. I'll see what we can find to replace NBC. PBS News Hour is always a possibility too.
I see oil futures are up 4% this morning while the market futures are down, although not hugely. Yet.
Wall Street is figuring out that Trump was lying about negotiations.

They were unused because there was no profit in drilling, not enough refinery capacity if they did find a lucrative field, so no point in spending billions on new field development. @Phantasmal can tell us a lot about how this works. Her husband is a retired oil company exec.

Add to this that Trump started his war before filling the national reserves. Sheesh!
Oil this high, but it still takes many years to develop a field. It will be interesting to see if they develop any field, it would be more profitable to return to Venezuela and improve those fields. It makes sense now why Trump did what he did in Venezuela.
