Somebody explain Sweden

When? I thought the China Virus was so novel that we don’t even know if kids should go back to school yet. If it’s ‘novel’ it’s novel all the way—and we are still in the learning curve.

If you want to claim that herd immunity has been ruled out in NYC or Sweden you need to do better than trotting out a naked assertion like ‘it’s been explained already’.
 
You have to compare like with like, and compared with Norway, Denmark and Finland Sweden is doing very badly. The thing to remember is the nature of the society and the distance individuals like to keep. Swedes like a good distance between themselves and others: when I was a student, the great joke was introduce a Swede to an Italian, who like to close in in converstion. The Italian would inevitably feel uncomfortable and move up, at which the the Swede would feel crowded and retreat, and the conversatiuon would inevitably move all around the house at least once!

You'd certainly like to think that. Because then it ascribes no responsibility to your use of "China virus."

Unfortunately, you & others using that on a large scale has created a LOT of discrimination, in this country, and a lot of discriminatory treatment.

But, it makes a fun political point for you...so who cares, right?

Sweden has 10 million people and are used to being ordered by the government like most of Europe. The USA has 300 Million and not used to being ordered. That may be a primary reason.
 
Also look at San Francisco. Like good little lemmings, they did everything the gobblement told them to do and they are still seeing spikes in cases of the chinese virus

Of course they have created discrimination, and it is done with intent and purpose. The 'well it came from China' bullshit is just cowardly passive aggressiveness. Not that hard to figure out. You see it constantly from the Trumptards.

Just trying to look out for my fellow citizens. The fact is, discrimination is UP against Asian Americans right now. That's not a coincidence. And Trump knows it - it fits his need to scapegoat perfectly, which is why he goes w/ "China virus" or "Kung Flu" regularly.

Why not just call it COVID? The right did the same thing w/ Obama and Hussein..."hey, it's only his middle name...that's why we're saying it." But we knew exactly why they were saying it.
