Fine by me. If it makes it harder for them to execute someone. I mean why the fuck should someone like me be coerced by the State into becoming an executioner. Have soldiers or cops do it in proper ceremony so that there is no mistaking who is killing who. Not same nameless technician in a lab coat. It's utterly immoral to put those people in the situation where they have to take or assist in taking a human life. When an execution occurs there should be no mistaking that it is the State that is killing.

Fine! But that's another problem they are a having with death by lethal injection. Finding someone who is qualified to do it. Physicians and Nurses and most allied health professionals who are qualified have taken oaths that prohibit them from doing such a thing won't do it. I personally believe that any Doctor, Nurse, Allied Health Professional, EMT's anyone who has taken such an oath and assists in an execution should lose their license to practice for violating their oath.

I think when it comes to executing the scum of society; we should seek out the most incompetent bumbling fool on the planet to carry out the sentence; with any luck the scum will suffer for hours. But even that wouldn't equate to the pain and suffering of their victims.
 
and yet most of you who feel that the government doesn't belong in the business of killing murderers for their crimes seem perfectly content if a police officer kills a suspect because they didn't comply immediately. why is that?

No it's not. While we still had revenge-murder here they used to prevent anyone from serving who was opposed to it, as any fool would have the sense to do if he wanted someone hanged.
