I have and have been pushing kids to go into skilled trades , Showing them the need for these type of people and how much money they can make, plus if they get into a union what their retirement could be like.
I was an industrial electrician , back in the early 2000s I was making over 35 dollars an hour , that was back then and it still is a lot more then most people are making today.
Over the years I have gotten several dozen kids to go into the trades and most of them ( the ones I see ) have come back and thanked me for doing it, they are making a good income and don't have to worry about getting laid off there is a lot of work for them out there .

We lived in Costa Rica for a while but my esposa missed the grandchildren...so did I...and we moved back to Georgia.
