I snooped around and there's a Google meme about a 'surge in antisemitism': mostly bomb threats, which anyone can do, btw. Most outlets seem determined to tie them to Trump.
Do I smell a lie?
Being the suspicious sort lol, I snooped around some more and found there was a surge in *violent* antisemitism in 2014-2015, with a significant amount occurring on college campuses. While Donald Trump was a private business man.

There has been a HUGE spike in incidents and threats since January. 69 threats in that time. It's why Trump finally felt compelled to make a statement about it.

And I take back this thread since watching Trump speak. I had read his comments, and was impressed - but watching him speak the words, he was really just reading off of a written statement that someone else clearly wrote for him, and without much sincerity at all.

Antisemitism---in the form of actual violence, spiked while Obama was in office. Why wasn't Obama compelled to comment on it?
In fact, it's usually hard to get liberals talking about antisemitism. Even as they'll prattle-on about Islamophobia at the slightest provocation [or is it trigger lol?]. Antisemitism has been endemic on college campuses and you guys yawned about it.
Now that there's been a spike in bomb threats that correlates with Trump's ascendency, Antisemitism is suddenly a hot topic.
Smells like more partisan anti-Trump hackery.
I loved Trump's answer a week or so ago when asked about the increase in anti-Semitism. I think it was when Netanyahu was here.
He started out by mentioning his "yuge" electoral college win over Clinton.
He then pointed out his daughter, son-in-law and grandkids in the audience.
Next, he went on about big changes coming.
He finished by saying there was going to be 'a lot of love'.
After that comedy routine, the commentators were, at first, stunned. Followed by incredulous laughter.
In the meantime, his staff probably told him what the term meant. Hence, today's description of the practice as "horrible".

As you saw already, I did backtrack it. It actually sickened me a bit to hear him actually say the words, because it was so insincere. I have no interest whatsoever in being someone who tries to claim that he "praised" Trump at some point. I find Trump to be an amoral narcissist & clown - a bully, a con man & a fraud. I was surprised that he actually did something to warrant any positive words from me - but I really should have listened to him talking instead of just going by an article.

The average number of incidents in recent years, is around a thousand a year, according to the ADL link. Call it 100 a month to keep things rounded off and the math easy.
Seventy-ish incidents since January *isn't statistically significant* relative to recent years.
"Another troubling finding: anti-Semitic incidents at colleges and universities nearly doubled last year. A total of 90 incidents were reported on 60 college campuses in 2015, compared with 47 incidents on 43 campuses in 2014." [ADL link]

At any rate, what got the narrative going was the so-called 'spike' that's not really a spike. As far as I can gather, it was due to an inordinate number of bomb threats being called into Jewish centers.
By who knows who. Just as importantly, how many who's? Seventy people can call in seventy bomb threats or it's not inconceivable ONE person did all of them.
Bottom line, not only are the incidents not statistically significant, there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE it has anything to do with Trump supporters, even if it correlates with the election because correlation doesn't equal causation.
Probably didn't report it on Fox.
