These quotes really stand out to me:

I just do not see that level of seriousness from anyone in the USA. I am not saying everyone, or even most people in Europe are that serous, but there are many that are. They are literally getting ready for WWIII in a way no one in the USA is.

This should read:
Blaise Metreweli(British spy chief): [Western Europe is struggling to grasp that it is living] in a space between peace and war.

Putin has gone with a level of gray area operations that the USSR would never go for. While the average Western European does not see Western Europe as in a constant state of near war, the military does. Putin is actively cutting undersea cables, and flying drones in attack formation over European airports.
