It's more of a pointing and laughing thing, Yurt. Try it out! It can be fun!
Desperation about what? The GOP campaign in general is imploding right now.
This is one of a series of "out of touch" remarks that Romney has made. They're fun, nothing more.
Getting a Mormon to buy you a drink is about as likely to happen as a Jew making you a BLT.Now I'm with you on the top shelf. But does Romney ever drink? (I mean I guess if he is paying for your drink who cares if he is drinking or not, I know I wouldn't)
Maybe I should rephrase. Yes I would have a beer with Romney. But if forced to choose between the two I would go with Obama based on his passion for sports.
they cling to their religion and guns...
yawn...could you be a bigger hack?
And you were all over that remark, correct?
Oooooops....
of course, it was actually a really bad comment. it was INSULTING. and you of course madly defended it. here, the comment is not an insult, just a statement of fact and an honest answer to a question. you fucking boring hack.
Mr. Romney’s Florida trip might have seemed like an odd, if confident, detour from states that will be voting on Tuesday. But Michigan has an ample share of Nascar fans. And the campaign hoped that images of Mr. Romney at the speedway would circulate widely through the Southern states that vote on March 6.
But the crowd initially booed Mr. Romney, who occasionally struck a discordant note, as when he approached a group of fans wearing plastic ponchos. “I like those fancy raincoats you bought,” he said. “Really sprung for the big bucks.” And when asked if he was a fan of the sport, he mentioned that “I have some great friends who are Nascar team owners.”
No one is questioning Willard's veracity or whether he insulted people (though his comments to the folks who purchased ponchos to stay dry in the rain was pretty fucking insulting and condescending), just that he's fucking tone deaf and notwithstanding his campaign's best efforts to make him appear completely out of touch with people who have to work for a living (like, for example, having him attend a NASCAR event and mingle with the commoners) he can't fucking do it.
My theory is that Mitt comes from a world where wealth is the measure of the man and he can't help but to flaunt his wealth as proof of how fucking wonderful he is.
And, yes, I am using fucking for emphasis a lot today. You know what? I don't fucking care.

For those interested, here's the poncho comment:
What a dick!

Yurt sounds irked again.
I have a new adjective - "Yirked." Anyone can feel free to use this.
you are truly a political hack. obama's team also tries to make him appeal in touch with average americans and he also did a poor job of it. why is it you take romney to task for it but give obama a huge pass? both are out of touch with average americans. you only think it an issue because romney is a pub.
