Some CHANGE...where is the CHANGE?

Man, how many times did we hear that over the past month +, not just on this board, but from talk radio & so many conservative pundits nationally?

Well, there you go. A budget that dramatically shifts America's priorities, to healthcare, education, energy & working Americans, as well as real investment in our future. Amerca under Obama is going to veer about 180 degrees from America under Bush.

Did I mention that we'll be out of Iraq by August of next year?

Change we can believe in....I hope everyone has their answer, now.

Obama's turning out to be better than I was giving him credit for. I think he's going to be the first liberal, or at least center-left president since Johnson.

he's coming through on a lot of promises.
Another rightwing tool card to blow up
How many times has a poor person hired you?
NO, How many times a has a poor person defrauded our banks of trillions?
How many times has a poor person outsourced manufacturing jobs oversees?
How many times has a poor person done not bid contracts in Iraq?
BOOM GOES THE OBAMA DYNAMITE!!!!

Except for the 50,000 or so combat troops that will stay until 2011. Which I believe was part of Bush's plan.

At least Obama is listening to the military experts instead of just firing the ones who say what he doesnt like.

Bush purposefully LEFT the mess of leaving Iraq to the next president.

what an asshole.

You'll get no argument from me.

Bush purposefully LEFT the mess of leaving Iraq to the next president.

Now you didn't honestly think that the "mess" would be cleaned up by the last President, did you? I sure as hell didn't and I think that anyone who did is a complete and utter fool for doing so. If you didn't believe it, that means your use of the word "purposefully" (which should actually be "purposely") would be an intentional mischaracterization of the situation.

And just for the record, I for one did not favor Bush's plan to go into Iraq and I did not think we would be greeted as liberators with parades and flowers. I did and still do believe that, once the decision was made, the job should be done right and we should stay there as long as it takes to stabilize.

what an asshole.

While I understand your distaste for the man, would not go so far as to call the man an "asshole." While I did not agree with many of his decisions and I was and am very disappointed in his Presidency, I do not believe he had malice in his heart. Call me an optimist, but I think he did, as I believe all presidents before him did, what he thought was best fo the country. Not everyone liked it.

For what it's worth, I am not thrilled with Obama either. Except for his administration's approach to the issue of medical marijuana (which I can only hope leads to complete legalization), he has done nothing that appeals to my sensibilities, but I believe he is doing what he believes is best for the country. I do not like it, but that's the way things sometimes go.
