Socialist paradise where water costs more than gas

The carcass of a dead dog floats on the lake that supplies tap water to 750,000 Venezuelans. Witch doctor Francisco Sanchez has just dumped the previous night’s sacrifice from a cliff, contaminating the resource that has become more scarce than gasoline in Caracas.

The socialist revolution implemented by late President Hugo Chavez redirected funds from state-owned companies to reduce poverty and widen access to education, health-care and housing, while neglecting the basic services in a country that has the world’s largest oil deposits and eight times more fresh water per capita than France. Blackouts and water cuts have become weekly events in Caracas, and when water does flow, few dare to drink.

People who don't know the difference between a Democracy and Socialism are funny. :good4u:

No I judged your jump over a homeless person to spit on a fur wearer libtardness right away.
Mocking is all you deserve
Now go fly to your next Sierra club meeting

So....then the answer is no....an insult ridden no, but no nonetheless.

Look, I know you made your money in oil, so you have a self-preserving reason for your attitude. So I think you should probably consider your own avarice before you try to slam another's.

I also studied economics and know way more than a Sierra club tree humping retard on what's important to economies.

What makes you think I belong to the Sierra Club? Apparently you have no clue what is in our long term economic interest. But you really don't care about long term....you care about your dividend checks.

I live on dividend checks, so yes I care.
Your in over your head on economics libtard

Don't call me libtard....you are just a step away from me....and only on certain issues. You've defended liberal positions more vehemently than even I have on occasion. So if I am a libtard...you are the epitome of a Cadillac Liberal. Liberalism's good...as long as it don't take from me.

Anyway.....I was talking long term....30-40 years from now, you won't be using your dividend checks anymore. I am talking about a controlled and reasonably paced changeover to renewables. You and I both know that it can't be done overnight, that's why I don't understand your need to be a jerk about it. As innovation happens, make it a natural.part of the changeover.

Yes by then I'll be able to live on half the dividends
I'm a turbolib, which is a progressive liberal with plenty of business education
We will be using hydrocarbons way longer than 40 years, you warm fuzzy global warmer dreams aside
