I used to buy in to the conservative myth that socialism is a very bad thing, like communist USSR, or something. (Should have known better...)
Theft of wealth is always a bad thing. You have never been a conservative on JPP.
I would try to argue that we were not really socialist. (That didn't work out very well.)

Socialism can only be implemented by force, using dictatorships or oligarchies. It is theft. It requires capitalism to create the wealth that socialism steals from.

Everybody in America needs health care. It's cheaper in a large group. Make America one group. Boom. We get the lowest price.
Government run health insurance and government run health care is MORE expensive (even if it's 'free'). The government decides how and when you get healthcare, if you get it at all. High taxes pay for that healthcare. The providers are government workers, that really don't give a damn about you. See the disaster in nearby Canadian 'healthcare'. People not only have to pay for THAT with high taxes, they have to get privately provided healthcare on their own out of their own pocket to get it at all in many cases.
