It was anonymously hand delivered to journalist David Cay Johnston, who turned it over to Maddow.

Some are saying that it's likely Trump himself who is behind it.

Just another cheap Trump publicity stunt.
 
The guy is a highly respected, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist who is known for his veracity.

(CNN)Who knows who leaked two pages of Donald Trump's tax return.

But the leak, such as it is, does no harm to the President. It shows he actually paid income taxes -- at least in 2005. Whether the President had paid income taxes recently had actually been something of an open question.

The journalist that published two pages from Donald Trump's 2005 tax return says he doesn't know who provided the documents; he got them in the mail.

"Yes," Pulitzer Prize-winner David Cay Johnston replied when CNN anchor Poppy Harlow asked him if he thought the two pages, which show Trump paid $38 million in taxes on more than $150 million in income that year, could have been sent by the President himself.

"Donald has a long history of leaking things about himself and doing it indirectly and directly," Johnston told Harlow and Chris Cuomo. "So it's a possibility." He published the returns on his website DCReport.org

His school records were always kept secret.
Nobody could recall who he was at Occidental College. It's suspected he got into Harvard Law School because he applied as an Indonesian or Kenyan citizen.

Even with Bush, Jr. we knew he was a C student and we knew Kerry was a C- student.

Harvard's a joke. 1st priority for admissions is, is your rich daddy an alumnus who contributes generously. 2nd priority is diversification. Are you a poor, repressed person from a third world country.
It's already well documented that Ivy League schools are racist against Asians.

No question it was trump. Otherwise, we'd see all of the schedules. The real meat is in '09 forward. Those are the ones 'under audit'.

Two years at Fordham and into Penn, thanks to his brother and Daddy's money. Said he was the top of his class, which is another lie, because there is no record.

It would be illegal under federal law (the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) for Occidental, Columbia or Harvard Law School to give any former student’s records to reporters or members of the public without that person’s specific, written permission. Obama hasn’t released them, but neither have other presidential candidates released their college records. George W. Bush’s grades at Yale eventually became public, but only because somebody leaked them to the New Yorker magazine. Bush himself refused to release them, according to a 1999 profile in the Washington Post.
