So now we need a Ballroom?

Not taking care of the demolition correctly make me concerned for the rest of the process. They have gotten no permits, so they are "self-regulating" at the moment. There is a lot about construction that can be hidden after the fact.

A decade from now we may well have a collapsing East Wing.
Goal Post Moving.

You claimed that it would be poorly constructed.

You claimed that it would be poorly constructed.
I originally did not say it would be poorly constructed, but now I am saying it is almost certain to be poorly constructed. It was incompetently and illegally demolished. There are no permits, or inspectors on site. We are just supposed to trust the incompetent and illegal contractors. This is a recipe for failure.

"A White House official told NBC News via email that "all the historical components of the East Wing, such as elements from [Rosalynn] Carter’s original Office of the First Lady, have been preserved and stored under the supervision of the White House Executive Residence and the National Park Service with support from the White House Historical Association. Plans are in place for future use."

"The release called the planned ballroom “a bold, necessary addition that echoes the storied history of improvements and renovations from commanders-in-chief to keep the executive residence as a beacon of American excellence.”

It noted that numerous other presidents have had renovations and construction work done at the site. “FACT: For more than a century, U.S. Presidents have been renovating, expanding, and modernizing the White House to meet the needs of the present day,” it said, pointing to specific examples." https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/wh...tire-east-wing-white-house-add-new-rcna239018.
Tearing down a historic building of incalculable value, and replacing it with a poorly constructed replacement is not adding value.
I understand that you do not care for the President...But you may be pleasantly surprised that the changes are quite the opposite of what you're claiming...
Renovations are always taking place, and are necessary and add value... Give it a chance and a rest...;)

The democrats just said it out loud... I posted the link for you... People are going to suffer but that's the leverage they have.... (No Americans who are eligible are going to lose coverage ....)
Indeed, the far left Democratic/Socialist/Communist loons shut the government down to continue providing health care for illegals.

Perhaps you should go to DC and supervise the renovation, WWW (Wrong Way Walter).

Try not to lose too much sleep over this WWW.

There are agencies that are supposed to approve modifications and the preservation of historical buildings. Trump ignored them and bullied ahead with what he wanted. The National Planning Commission is supposed to be involved. Trump is a king, so he did not bother.
yes.

this is a winning issue for you people.

everybody loves red tape.

stay on it, ever vigilant watchdog for the people.

Comparisons to what other Presidents have done only highlights the tastelessness and disrespect. Trump has created a showy blight on his legacy, which was in no great shape beforehand.

You're entitled to your opinion...I guess Democrats will have to find someone to take over and change things...

If you remember I said Toronto would prevail... I think it's gonna fin to watch!!... The Dodgers are tough but You can never tell... They are pretty good though...lol
The Dodgers have one starting pitcher and one relief pitcher who are almost un-hittable.

A solid team at every position.

It should be a great series but no more baseball (except the Caribbean League)...bummer.
