So now we need a Ballroom?

They are going to use the heck out of that ballroom...and the rest of an updated, renovated structure...
I posted a partial list of the donors earlier...more to come later...
No taxpayer money is involved...
Not exactly, you posted the donors Trump said were donating, not the same, and certainly not something to justify a “no taxpayer money is involved” claim

Giving you are ignoring the facts and have had to resort to the personal crapola to respond no sense wasting anymore time with you
lol. Do you ever read what you write? This is like having an attack ad against attack ads attacking your opponent for using attack ads. You are a joke, man.

If the Right were honest, they would think about what they would do and think if a Democrat destroyed the East Wing for a vanity ballroom. They would be screaming, swearing, and thinking about guns. If Obama did this, they would be in arms.
Trump is not planning on leaving.

Whataboutism. Weak whataboutism too.

If they were paying for it using private funds, my reaction would be the same as the one here.

I thought so. See, @Damocles. He's been drinking!

there are strict building outlines on historical structures in DC

Then I guess his permit will get pulled... oh, wait...

The White House, as a National Historic Landmark, falls under federal oversight for alterations, but its unique status grants the president significant discretion.

This means that it is legally permissible to begin construction without prior approval as regards the administration's decision to start work before submitting plans

Pure speculation.

We don't need the fucking ballroom. Trump discussed it with nobody. He assumed the power that nobody thought a president had. He is trashing a historical building for his vanity ballroom. The funding is irrelevant. However, Trump says it will not be a taxpayer cost. And you believe it. We have to pay clean it, guard it and supply workers to serve a huge room.
It was a 200 million dollar ballroom yesterday and 300 today. Does that give you pause?
Only a couple of months ago, he said he would not touch the Whitehouse. He said he was a big fan of it as it is. So understand the prick lies about everything.

Could not care less what you think "we" need. The people living at the White House often renovate. You don't give a rats butt if they aren't Trump, nor does anyone else. Biden used public funds to renovate the situation room where they found his boy's cocaine before the magical mystery tour moved it to a library and finally to a cubby and they blamed it on construction workers... You didn't hear anyone here crying about it.

If they are not using taxpayer funds for it, I do not give two "ishes" (sh*ts)....

Creating a "ballroom" at a time when Americans are struggling and there is a government shutdown is completely out of touch.

It's embarrassing. Defend this all you want, MAGA's - this is the swamp. This is elitist.

Horseshit, as usual; there IS NO TAXPAYER EXPENSE INVOLVED.

from Google AI: (Quoting an article from The Hill)

Donors helping pay for the White House ballroom include several major corporations like Microsoft, Google (via its parent company Alphabet), Amazon, Lockheed Martin, and Palantir, along with wealthy individuals such as Blackstone CEO Steve Schwarzman and the Winklevoss twins. Other companies like Coinbase, Meta, and Carrier Global Corp. have also been mentioned as potential contributors, as reported by The Hill.

Of course, you will now play Moronic Leftist Word Dance to try to pretend otherwise.

The US has had the embarrassment of having guests at the White House, both American and foreign, forced to sit outside in tents, in wet, even muddy conditions. I'm sure this is extra-special fun for ladies ( and Biden cabinet member men) in heels.

We are now being GIFTED a sufficient, dignified, indoor venue, worthy of the seat of the US Presidency...and you want to bitch about it.

More perpetual-burr-up-the-ass leftist bullshit.

This is a badly needed gift to the American people...no tax dollars involved....and well-paying jobs provided.

Please seek treatment for that perpetual burr-up-your-ass..

Creating jobs at a time when the democrats are shutting down the government and using private funds to pay for construction isn't elitist. Stopping it simply because Schumer is throwing a tantrum and wants to stop the expiration of the emergency reimbursements that were put in place for Covid... now that would be inane.

If you are worried about the shutdown, call Schumer and tell him to open the government.
