I've been noticing more corporate sponsorship and commercials at the beginning of many of their shows. If it keeps up, PBS could become like the shitty networks and cable. Taking orders about program content from advertisers.

Maybe. I haven't watched a lot of PBS prime shows since they axed Charlie Rose and Tavis. Don't see the commercials on their 1-off B channels that much.

More Americans than ever dislike the job President Donald Trump is doing in the White House, a new poll indicated on Monday.

The latest survey from Gallup showed that Trump's disapproval rating had shot up to 60 percent. That's tied for his all-time high and the sharp 7 percentage point uptick from the week prior. Just before the midterm election, Trump's disapproval stood at 54 percent, according to Gallup.

While Trump's disapproval rate has risen, his approval rate has dropped. Only 38 percent of Americans approved of his job performance, according to the new poll from Gallup. That's a 5 percentage point drop from the week prior, and approaches his all-time low of 35 percent.

Not me.. I wrote letter after letter to Bush, Cheney, Congressmen and Senators... and then resigned the Republican party just before the invasion..

Iraq was crippled by 20 years of war and sanctions.


I never saw such a stupid bunch.. They marginalized diplomats, historians, Arabs, oilmen, Europeans and even their own military brass.

Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffft, and she will accomplish her agenda working within the confines of the system and the dem party? I wish her well, don't think she'll get far, hope I'm wrong. She is up against all the corruption and all the funding of the american political/economic system. She is putting all the things into open political conversation that the power structure wants to keep buried behind the noise and chaos.

How far she gets will depend upon the push, real pushback, of "the people" with her out in the streets. It's not on her, it's on we the people. We the people don't seem to be ready for what we must do yet.

In 1997-1998 Saddam begged the UN and US to lift sanctions on his oil sector because his well were in such bad shape that they were in danger of being lost forever.. He wanted Haliburton to come in and upgrade and repair.

The estimated cost was 20 billion.. chicken feed compared to the cost of the war.. never mind our dead and injured soldiers.
