Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: Anti-union measure ‘doesn’t save any’ money

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said Thursday that his decision to strip the collective bargaining rights of public workers "doesn't save any" money for taxpayers during a House committee hearing on ways to handle state and municipal debt.

Nearly all collective bargaining rights were stripped from Wisconsin public workers in March when the Republican governor signed a non-fiscal version of his budget plan into law.

During the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) asked Walker how the provision to strip the collective bargaining rights of public workers saved money for Wisconsin taxpayers.

"Let me ask you about some of the specific provisions in your proposals to strip collective bargaining rights," he said. "First, your proposal would require unions to hold annual votes to continue representing their own members. Can you please explain to me and members of this committee how much money this provision saves for your state budget?

"That particular part doesn't save any," Walker responded.

zappa always calls righties liars....

Zap didn't put the words in Walker's mouth....Walker's own admission makes him a liar....a lie that willfully ignorant folks like Yurt swallowed whole and regurgitated constantly. Hmmmmm!

So Web acknowledges that Walker LIED to his constituents and the general public regarding the reasons for his policies....just like the liberals and progressives and Democrats said.

Also, Webbie bitches about Kucinich receiving a little over $23 grand for the last 15 years from unions, but he has NO problem when Walker got $43 grand from the Koch brothers for his 2010 election campaign. ;)

Nice to see Webby and the neocon wonks/politicos/pundits finally lose the pretense of "fair and balanced".

Walker did this solely to break the unions and continue the American assault on the middle working class. Those that live in Wisconsin should gather round unions and cause a general strike that will hurt. If more than half of the workforce stayed home and all the state employees stayed home Walker and his government would suffer. If the workers bite the bullet and stayed on strike the state would surly need to to something other than follow Walker into the worker hell he is trying to create.

What does the Yurtard do when he can't discuss the facts?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

i see....its ok for you to come in threads and make comments like mine without discussing the thread topic at all....but if a rightie does it.....it upsets you

another day, another whiny hypocritical post from zappygetard

what does that have to with zappa always calling righties liars?

And right on cue the whiny Yurtard tries to hijack another thread.

If the Yurtard wants to discuss another topic, he's free to start his own thread.

This latest "interruption" is just more patented whiny Yurtard road apples...designed to deflect from Governor Walkers' outright lie.

It points out the FACT that Zap was NOT calling "righties" a liar, but in this case pointing to a matter of fact and history that intellectualy cowards like Yurt don't want to face.
