So I listened to what Trump said yesterday and SURPRISE

Teflon Don

I'm back baby
the leftists are lying about what he said.

Nowhere in his comments was he ADVOCATING treatments. He was asking questions.

Of course they are.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—At his press conference last night, President Trump asked if it might be good for everyone to drink water.

"Is water tremendous, very powerful stuff?" he queried. "Is it true, the things they can do with water? You can freeze it and make ice, I'm told."

"Anyway, should people drink water?"

Horrified journalists scrambled to warn Americans not to drown themselves.

"Trump says water is good -- but this is very misleading," said Rachel Madcow. "Did you know that water kills many people every year? These dangerous, unhinged remarks from the president could cause many to drown themselves. Plus, do you know what's hidden in water? Sharks. This president wants you to die from a shark attack!"

Representatives for various bottled water companies quickly released a statement distancing themselves from the president's remarks and warning everyone not to submerge themselves in their product for minutes at a time.

Because Jim Acosta is Jim Acosta, never a day goes by when there is a White House press briefing where he doesn’t try to make himself the center of attention.

Thursday was no exception to the rule. During the White House Coronavirus Task Force daily press briefing yesterday, Department of Homeland Security undersecretary for science and technology William Bryan spoke about a study that indicates sunlight, higher temperatures and humidity help accelerate the deterioration of the Wuhan coronavirus on surfaces, as The Hill reports: Bryan presented data that found how long the virus can live on solid surfaces or in the air was cut significantly under high temperatures, higher humidity and when exposed to sunlight. He said his office was also studying how certain disinfectants might kill the virus more effectively than others, referencing isopropyl alcohol and bleach.

President Trump appeared to find Bryan’s presentation fascinating, and wondered if light could somehow be used as a treatment for the virus itself in people: “So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn’t been checked but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside of the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting.”

President Trump asked questions of Bryan and Dr. Deborah Birx. Here’s how the exchange went down:

President Trump: "But now we get it from one of the great laboratories of the world. I have to say, it covers a lot more territory than just this. This is — this is probably an easy thing, relatively speaking, for you. I would like you to speak to the medical doctors to see if there’s any way that you can apply light and heat to cure. You know — but if you could. And maybe you can, maybe you can’t. Again, I say, maybe you can, maybe you can’t. I’m not a doctor. But I’m like a person that has a good you know what".
Reporter: But, sir, you’re the president.
President Trump: Deborah, have you ever heard of that? The heat and the light, relative to certain viruses, yes, but relative to this virus?
Dr. Birx: Not as a treatment. I mean, certainly fever —
PresidentTrump: Yeah.
Birx: — is a good thing. When you have a fever, it helps your body respond. But not as — I’ve not seen heat or (inaudible).
Trump: I think it’s a great thing to look at. I mean, you know. Okay?

Clearly, Birx was saying she had not heard of using it as a treatment.

She didn’t shoot down any possibilities, she said she’d not heard of using heat and light in that way.

But here’s how Acosta framed it:

Birx disagrees on sunlight as a treatment for the virus: “not as a treatment.” Again top government doctor disagrees with Trump’s scientific ideas at briefing.

— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) April 23, 2020

Except … it wasn’t a “disagreement.”

President Trump asked a question, Dr. Birx said she’d not heard of it, and that was about it.

Yet Acosta presented it as though it was a significant moment, a controversy.

It’s almost like Acosta watched a different press briefing than the rest of us.

This Twitter user watched the same press briefing we all did, and blasted his hot take (language warning):

She said she hadn't heard of it used as a treatment. Trump asked if it could be… it was a fucking question, not a disagreement. Sheesh, can you listen instead of trying to dunk?

— DeWayne Spell (@DewayneSpell) April 23, 2020

Unfortunately, this interaction wasn’t the only thing the Trump-hating media misreported from the briefing.

The whole “Trump tells people to ingest disinfectant” story is nonsense.

Any scope procedure involves a fiber optic light carrier—because it’s always really dark otherwise lol. Colonoscopy, laparoscopic procedures, or etc all involve delivering light either through a flexible tube or rigid scope.

Trump apparently overheard one of his medical advisers talking about delivering UV radiation into the lungs. I’ve never heard of that but I’m sure there’s a lot of things I’ve never heard of. This is one of those instances where I’d hear Trump make a comment and I think to myself ‘gee, I hope he’s right, that might save some lives’.

Trump’s ‘mistake’ was in using the lay-term ‘disinfectant’ which the idiot News Fakers took to mean Lysol or whatever. Trump should have said something like ‘an anti-viral delivered along with a surfactant’ just for the lol’s. Set all the News Fakers to googling.

Medical people tend to not get so confused about these things so easily. I’ve never heard of the UV bit [for whatever that’s worth] but theoretically at least, it might be of some benefit and they sure as hell should try it.

Bottom line, it’s just another absurd non-issue generated by our wonderful media.

They are just a snarky bunch of cunts that love to go into mindfuck mode on a regular basis.

Agree he used a poor choice of words in "disinfectant" and given the low IQ of media and their penchant for not giving him the benefit of the doubt, here we are

Hydrogen peroxide is technically a disinfectant and since 1989 it has been advocated by some to be used intravenously to kill bacteria and viruses. It is very dangerous if not done properly. Also as I said, UV lights properties on viruses is not new. It is part of the theory about why viruses tend to diminish in the summertime i.e., more sunlight. Again, not new phenomena but anything that Trump says related to this virus the media will immediately say doesn't work. Trump isn't helped by Fauxi and that cunt Brix who are practiced Deep State pricks and now just how to say things so as not to say "it has never been done before" but to say "There are not randomized controlled clinical trials....." which the media can run with and say they are contradicting Trump.

For the first time in his Presidency he is out of his element with a topic that he doesn't know much about and can be caught flat footed. Being surrounded by deep state pricks like Fauxi and Brix who answer to Bill Gates and the WHO doesn't help. He needs to fire Fauxi

What sucks is he’s just trying to give people hope instead of the constant ‘we’re all gonna die!’ stuff.

Trump’s comments were by no means off the mark or out of left field—provided—you know something about the subject. But he should stay away from commenting on medical developments because the media will take anything Trump says and try and wring an ‘issue’ out of it.

If I was in the press corps the *first question* I would ask is how and why this Ferguson idiot got to be the source for the ridiculous projection numbers when he has such a well-established *record of failure* and he won’t let anyone see his 13 year old code?

Let Birx and Fauci chew on that one for a minute. And their answers might even be informative.
