So, do you realize you've been conned yet?

Reading between the lines, it looks like Trump is not going to just give his business over to his kids & focus on the Presidency. He talked a lot yesterday about how the concept of "conflict of interest" doesn't apply to Presidents.

He thinks his son-in-law can achieve peace between Palestinians and Israel, something that has eluded some of the most brilliant leaders on the planet for decades. And he thinks this because his son-in-law is Jewish, and has been to Israel a lot.

After ranting that it's time to bring back waterboarding and "much worse" for interrogation, he seems to be reversing, because he had one conversation with a general who told him that beer & cigarettes are more effective.

He has flipped on about a half a dozen issues already. The wall is going to be a fence, if anything. Global warming might be real. He'll probably just have to tweak Obamacare.

And this is just the 1st couple of weeks.
Holy effing Nora, I said to anybody that was prepared to listen that Trump would probably say stupid things and make lots of mistakes in his first year. He will realise soon enough that his powers are proscribed and limited.

This is going to be an exciting ride good brother.

An embarrassment for America. But exactly the awakening this country needed.

All completely unfounded.

The "tightening" narrative is definitely the talking point for the right, but ALL races tighten a bit in the final weeks. Hillary had the election put away - Comey's letter was a game changer. And he did his job; she wasn't guilty. Sorry.

Trump, on the other hand, had to settle for $25 million in a case that actually hurt people.
no. She didn't campaign in the rust belt and it cost her. She felt all she had to do was gin up the Obama coalition.
but Hillary ain't Obama- she had no charisma like Obama-it was all anti-Trump ( no positive message) and nothing aspirational like Obama and Trump

he's not alone...
MSNBC ( progressive cable news) is stuck on neo-Nazis and conflicts of interests. It's become the Sour Grapes network - damn near unwatchable

For once we agree; but probably not for the reason you're thinking of.

Americans did need this awakening.
They needed to see the liberals revealed for what they truly are.
They needed to see the dishonesty of the liberals.
They needed to see that everything the liberals say they represent, are just a front.
They needed to see the hate that is the underlying core of the liberals.
They needed to see the duplicity of the liberals.

In Things world there was nothing to learn from the election, it was all Comey's fault, and democrats can go back to treating Rust Belt democrats like chopped liver lol.

How do we get him to head the DNC?

There is a lot I'd like to see Democrats change. But none of it comes from an election they just got 2 million more votes in.

Honestly, I'm surprised at some of his far right picks, maybe payback to his base, don't know. I know he supports gay marriage, yet he tapped Sessions.

Okay, just thinking of your thread, but that makes sense. Bannon is a moron and maybe racist and Sessions is a bigot.

That thread was mainly about the protests & meltdowns.

I was ready to give the benefit of the doubt, but I really can't stand what I've seen so far. I realize that my best way forward as a progressive is to fight, in whatever small way I can. Not counter-productively, but to make sure the progressive voice is heard & doesn't get drowned out.

I'm actually not as concerned about Sessions' perceived racism. I don't know the man, though some of his comments have been troubling. I'm most worried that he is going to set back the progress made w/ marijuana and a lot of people will be jailed needlessly. He also has some other views that I would call outdated & potentially repressive.
