No. A security clearance investigation doesn't rule you out for holding an unpopular political view. A criminal background will cause you to be denied but she didn't have that.

I think they ask you the last time you peed the bed and then give you a polygraph to see if you lied. So yeah, they know their political leanings. Hopefully, they don't just hand out security clearances like candy.

My investigation went 10 months. They talked to all of my teachers, all the way back to Kindergarten, and every friend and acquaintance they could find. Freaked some of them out actually...they thought they were being busted.
