nobody want s a trade war -what we want is so called "fair trade"
Meaning no requirements to share IP with Chinese joint ventures, no tariffss to stop us from getting Chinese markets, no IP theft

This was all part of the US Trade Rep Lighthizer negotiations with China - the reason Trump used tariffs
was to force China to negotiate. It worked -they did it kicking and screaming, but it worked

Now Biden drops all this in favor of just going back to the status quo; meaning back to the WTO
and their inability to enforce free trade,.China as a "developing nation" and other shitty deals

Simon & Schuster does not want to publish Republican Senator Hawley's book. Republicans are all up in arms about this, and they consider it to be censorship. They want government laws forcing private businesses to publish their books, much like China has.
