Florida has gotten huge subsidies, complaining they were hit by the pandemic worse than anyone else... Really? OK, whatever, that money is gone now, so not much we can do about it. But now Florida has decided to destroy their businesses, and wants federal aid for that.
I say we take the hundreds of billions that Florida wants and give it to Disney, so they can move their operations to another state. They have invested heavily in Florida over the last few decades, and are in the process of losing that. We can also give aid to any other company that wishes to move.
Florida is already on the hook for the $2 billion in bonds. Somehow DeSantis forgot that when he dissolved Reedy Creek Improvement District, The State of Florida became solely responsible for all their bonds. There will be another few billion a year in expenses that Florida will be responsible for also.
