Should we kill our elected reps or judges if they violate the constitution?

If the will of the people clearly goes against the constitution, just roll with it?

Elected officials are a reflection of the will of the people...so yeah that's what our Constitution allows. It does not allow you to kill them.

If a judge is corrupt or inept you work towards building a case against them You don't hide behind your own sense of justice in order to murder them.

I agree with this, and I don't think that makes either of us extremists. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to seriously examine the history of our country.

No, just HISTORY...

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out for me.
Pastor Martin Niemöller

well hell, maybe we should have just sued saddam instead of invading and deposing him.

May be. A lot of Americans (and others) would still be alive or uninjured, our nation's reputation would not be what it is, and we would not have spent money in a fruitless attempt to make Iraq into a democracy.

great. you've followed steps 1 and 2. what if they don't work?

If you have followed steps 1 and 2 then you wait and try them again, also realize that the majority spoke and your ideas lost.

If you feel strongly work to support those who agree with you in the next election.

so 55% of the people want to ban guns, popular support among congress lets them write the law, and sympathetic judges say, yay lets do it. We're not allowed to defend our rights with lethal force?

Why is this thread allowed to live? It should be killed.

To ask if we should kill judges is just wrong.

what tyranny is gifford guilty of?

further, you cannot have respect for the law if you believe we should kill people simply for violating the constitution. should we have such a system of government, we would fail immediately and descend into chaos. i truly can't believe you're advocating such nonsense.

Nice strawman! I didn't see him saying Gifford's attempted murder was justified.

We have a constitutional right to take up arms agaisnt a tyrant government.
How we define tyrant is another story.
