Should Trump Ban Property Taxes Nationwide?

Oh. the stupidity.
The stupidity is the fact that "home ownership" is supposedly the American Dream, but once you have it you are forever in debt to your government. You never truly own it as you have to continue earning the rights to keep it.
You are just showing us how stupid you are.
From the moron who says revenue collections can't be shifted elsewhere. Dude, that was a really stupid thing to say! :rofl2:

I'd also say it would be a great incentive to get more people to be owners rather than renters. The Left loves renters because it gives them more control over them in increasing government. The Left hates the idea that someone could outright own stuff and the government can't take it away.

Perfect example of how the democrats are socialists to the extreme. Big government control socialists.

Yes. You have to pay for all those services that protect that property and allow you to keep it. Don't want police protection? How long before you don't own that property because someone bigger and stronger took it from you. Don't want the government to have a record of your ownership? How long before someone else claims it as their own and you have no legal recourse? It appears you haven't even read the most basic political treatises which explain how and why you pay taxes to protect you and your rights.

Cities are notorious for trying to lure businesses by promising no or low property taxes. How many businesses will stay in cities that want to increase their business taxes dramatically so home owners pay no taxes? The thing about problem solving is you have to look at more than just your desired outcome. You have to look at everything that can and will go wrong and plan for them.

Counties and cities have gasoline taxes? Do you even own property if you think that the gasoline tax pays for the city street in front of your house.
Are you retarded? Roads are not just county or city owned and paid for. States provide funding to lower levels of government for road maintenance, just as the federal government does.

Also, your statement "...if you think that the gasoline tax pays for the city street in front of your house" is really just a non sequitur. It doesn't fucking matter where the tax money comes from. It matters that there is tax money for that purpose. Therefore, if property taxes on a primary residence didn't exist--my argument--those taxes could, and would, be made up elsewhere. Or are you telling me that is impossible and that only taxation of all property is necessary to derive those taxes from the public?

Your argument is in essence, There is no alternative to taxing property to pay for certain government services... That is utterly idiotic.

I never said they county and city weren't provided some funding. They are not however provided all the funding. It's clear you have never had to pay an assessment for road work in front of your home. Most people roll those into their property taxes to pay over time.

In Arizona, you never have to pay an assessment for road work in front of your house. Last year, they did a chip seal of the entire neighborhood I live in and updated several speed bumps. The metro Phoenix area also is slowly putting a heat barrier finish on streets to lower temperatures from pavement.

I will add that the Biden administration gave Peoria where I live millions upon millions of dollars to install ADA compliant handicap accessible crossings at all intersections that NOBODY WILL EVER USE! What a fucking waste of tax dollars that is.

That is utterly asinine. Like somebody's going to go out in a wheelchair on a 110 degree + day and tootle down the sidewalk...

The stupidity of 'one size fits all' government planning is astronomical, and the waste that goes with it universal.

I wonder why there is a Phoenix city code for assessments for street work if they don't asses for street work
Upon completion of the improvements, the Council shall by ordinance, at a public hearing, determine the cost of the improvements and assess against the properties adjacent to the street improvement the total amount of the costs and expenses of the work in accordance with section 31-101(b). Notice of this public hearing shall be given to the property owners by regular mail at least ten days prior to the date of the hearing. This notice shall contain:

How interesting that it's 110 degrees and daytime 24 hours ever day and 365 days a year. I don't think it's the government that's stupid.
