Should transgender teachers be able to use the student bathroom of their choice???

Yeah it was unnerving and I'll leave it at that because of where we are and the mental facilities of the audience. :) But it really ended up being no big deal, but OTOH I tell the story a lot, have told it a lot since then, so yeah it definitely bothered me that it happened like that. Probably more than I wanted to let on.

I truly am sorry that happened to you.
It's not the transgenders that are the worry, and it's not that men haven't gone into women's bathrooms before.
It will be the perceived commonality of men in women's bathrooms that increases risks.

Put it this way..people often see things that are suspicious and say nothing - if someone had seen you being followed
what is the chance they would have intervened? Based on typical situations people just don't get involved.

Now with "men in a women's bathroom being a civil right" ( as it will be thought of shorthand) what's the chance that ANYONE
would say anything and risk being wrong..possibly sued for civil rights....no good can come from any of this.
It's a bad idea -there is public safety ,and there is also privacy rights at stake..for very little (if any ) return
 
You know, 200 years ago everyone just used the bushes and there were no separate areas.... was this an issue then?

How about the simple expectation of privacy in using lockers, showers and restrooms....

Facilities have been separated by sex for generations and worked very well until now....

And it happens that its the liberals that are being irrational about a very small number of disturbed people that want everyone to accept their abnormalities as the norm.

How many transgenders have you seen in lockers, showers or restroom? One that has transitioned, you won't be able to tell, those that haven't transitioned, don't usually use public facilities for fear of bigots being violent.
 
I have no idea of the real gender of those who happen to share a public restroom with me, I have never once checked.

Have you ever seen someone's genitalia in a public restroom?
