I wish these Liberal pieces of shit would understand it's a frigging business decision. Private sector businesses don't exist out of the goodness of the owners' hearts.

Obama negotiated the TPP -so called "NAFTA on steroids", but it hasn't been passed ( it's not subject to treaty vote for some reason) yet
-so "hail no" - but hail yes if that job sucker gets thru.

Oh, look. It's time I inject a little fact into the discussion yet again.

The "Bring Jobs Home Act" is a bill that has been foundering in the Senate for almost two years. This bill is designed to bring outsourced jobs back inside the US by giving a 20% tax credit companies to cover the expense of "in-sourcing," bringing their businesses and the jobs that come with them back to the United States. It would also kill the subsidy that companies get when outsourcing jobs overseas (that's not a typo - companies get tax deductions on the costs of sending jobs out of the country).

Why is it that the bill isn't moving forward? You'll love this.

1: American companies already pay such low taxes that an additional 20% credit for bringing jobs home wouldn't matter, according to Howard Cleckman, senior fellow in the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center at the Urban Institute.

2: Because American companies already pay such low taxes, an additional 20% tax break could cost the US treasury as much as $214 million in revenue over the span of a decade. (But it wouldn't, because the deduction companies receive for sending their jobs out of the country would be gone, saving that $214 million.)

It'd essentially be a wash: We give them a new deduction to keep jobs here and take away the old deduction for sending jobs out. The difference being that the new deduction would bring jobs back into and keep them in the US, but it's still a bill and not a law. Why?

The bill was stymied by Republican filibuster in 2014 and they filibustered a similar bill in 2012.

Since it's the Republicans in the Senate that have blocked legislation that would bring jobs back to the US, please explain in detail how Carrier moving its company out of the country while receiving a tax deduction for doing it (that is supported by Republican obstruction) is President Obama's responsibility.

there is a reason the founders gave this power to the exsecutive branch
