Absolutely, why should two groups with such differing views be restricted by such association.

The problem would be that the TEA Party would then be forced to identify what it stands for and would stop being able to pretend to stand for all things to those who are angry about where we are as a nation.

The truth is that the TEA Party is not really a party, because they don't have a standard set of ideals, they simply are a label conservatives use to try to separate themselves from the candidates they have previously chosen to lead them. If you poll honest TEA party people, I imagine a huge majority supported GWB.

Good analysis. There is much confusion in the Republican party amongst the differing factions that compose it. That is why they have lost the last two elections and will probably lose the next one....unless they wake up.

Republicans are not as stupid as they appear....but like too many Americans these days(products of a public school education)they do not have the ability to think for themselves...relying on the media and their leadership to direct them.
